We can clinch the NFC West as soon as NEXT Sunday. If we beat the Giants and the Niners lose in Dallas, it's ours.

The Giants aren't all that. Ask Cinci and Cleveland.

I seriously think we are going to roll them. We will beat the tar out of Eli, and they will not have a chance at stopping us. All our focus will be on Brandon Jacobs, and we will stop him.

The G-Men are going to get A-whipped.

This G-men team won a super bowl last year and are on thier way to attempt another. 3 turnovers like we had today against a good team will only end up with us behind at the end. If we play under control zero turnovers and stupid penaltys could equal a win. We are very tough at home and if anyone can beat the Giants it will be us at home!

This game will tell us if we are boys or men.

No way Ron. We are going to handle the Giants. They have no answer for our offense. None. The plan is simple...early in the game contain Jacobs, and build a quick lead with our passing game. This forces the Giants to run less and rely on Eli more...that's our ideal scenario.

Last time I felt this strongly was the MNF game against the Bears...we did exactly what I thought we would in that game, but then the meltdown happened. We aren't that team. We won't meltdown. We will beat the Giants.

I agree with Donald. I'm not so sure with the magic number math though. Technically the Rams or Seahawks could tie us at 8-8 if they win out, no? It won't happen but I just want to make sure that when I am celebrating around 5pm next Sunday that I am really celebrating the division. I will wait until Thanksgiving if necessary.

My son is a Giant fan and he is flying out from Pennsylvania next Saturday so that we can watch the game together. I've already sent him some hate mail :) to get him fired up, it should be a great game. I'll be in the kitchen listening on the radio and he will be in the living toom watching the game on the large screen tv. :)

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but if the Rams won out and we both finished 8-8 then we would hold the tiebreaker over them for the best record in the division. We would be 4-2 and they would be 3-3.
For Seattle I believe it would come down to the strength of victory tie breaker (if I did my math right) and while that probably favors us, especially if we beat the Giants.
But anyone who thinks that Seattle or St Louis will be able to win out at this point is a bit delusional.

I am seriously scared of the pass rush of this team. I almost want to say they should just start Leinart

There is very little pressure on us to win.I think we play loose & maybe pull it off.

Beat the Midgets!!!

No reason the Cardinals can't beat the Midgets. Are they good? Yes. Are they 10-feet tall? NO!!!

They haven't faced an offense like ours. This is the kind of game that gets the defense fired up. Shut down the ground game, get an early lead ala Cleveland, and watch Tom Coughlin getting frustrated on the sideline. :)

If we were playing in New York, I think they'd eat our team for lunch.

But playing in AZ? I think it's tight but we end up taking THEIR lunch money....

No, it's correct. We would hold the tiebreaker over St. Louis and Seattle in division record. Amazing as it seems, we could actually clinch it this week.

Really, that is just mindboggling. When I saw the schedule this year, I simply hope the last Seattle game would give us a chance at the division. If someone had told me we could clinch in November, I would've LMAO.

Just to set the record straight, per the CBS sports website (which is still using the OLD Cardinals logo :mulli:), this is their scenario:

Arizona can clinch a playoff berth and the NFC West Division title with:

* a win and a SF loss and a Seattle loss or tie

No way Ron. We are going to handle the Giants. They have no answer for our offense. None.

huh? They have the best answer to our offense - kill the QB. The G-Men get pressure like no one else and our O-line just stinks at this point.

if Wilson isn't suspended I think we've got a decent shot of pulling out the win. If he doesn't and we're missing him to help in the run game and have Fransisco and Brown out there as starters we're in deep doo doo.

we also have the problem that if the game is close, the offense can't close it out. you just can't put your defense in the situation we have time and time again, especially against good teams. We barely got away with it against Frisco and everyone was probably biting their nails yesterday when again we couldn't get a first down at the end because we can't run the ball... and that was against teams with a combined record of 5-15.

The only way they can handle our offense is with their offense. If they can run the ball, which the have been pretty successful at so far. They could eat up a lot of clock and keep our offense on the bench and in the process wear our defense out. That I believe is the only way to slow down the Cards offense.

I think we've already secured the best Division record (4-0 with 2 to play), which is the first tie-breaker, if I am not mistaken (I could be).

Our run D is pretty good, but their backs scare me. I know next-to-nothing about their D and if they stack up well against our receivers.

The Giants are at Washington the week after us, so I can wish that they will look past us, can't I?

We will do everything we can to stuff the run. We will likely fail in this endeavor. We have to get out, get a big enough lead early, that they have to start passing. Otherwise, they control the ball, the clock, and the game.

This game will tell me if we are for real or not. A win here and I'll believe we can go deep into the playoffs. A loss here and I'll think the best we can hope for is a 2nd round loss.

Giants have 31 sacks through 10 games and are only allowing around 175 yds of passing per game. Thats pretty scary but they have only played 2 top 10 passing teams Dallas (without Romo) & Philly (who scored 31 and McNabb had 3 TD passes).

Should be high scoring the #1 & #2 scoring offenses in the league.

I think the Giants win but homefield could be a huge factor for the Cardinals.

the other cool thing, we'll be on a national game 4 weeks in a row.

SF on MNF, then yesterday was national, then Giants is national, then on THanksgiving on NFL net.

There is a difference between being the "National game", which is the game that most of the country gets and being nationally televised, where it is the only game being shown. The game yesterday wasn't even really the national game because Fox only had the single game yesterday and most of the country got the Green Bay Chicago game early. The Seattle Arizona game was only shown in the Seattle and Phoenix markets and in those markets that couldn't get the early Fox game.

Actually it was shown in several AFC home markets where they carried the AFC team's early game, e.g. Baltimore and didn't want to have to compete with it. That is the Fox station carried the best late game, AZ vs. SEA as opposed to carrying an early Fox game which would have had zero local audience against the AFC home market team.
