I knew his dad was a ballplayer. I didn't know he got drafted. Russell Wilson was also a great baseball player. Not saying he'll be as good as Wilson, but hey you never know. Seems like a good kid.

I've liked Mahomes for a while.

The upside of Mahomes is Brett Favre- like. Hate to compare to a Hall of Famer, but the game of throwing on the run, all sorts of angles and deliveries yet the strength to get it there -- you see it on film. You also see the same risk taking, and hope he matures out of the worst of it

The downside feels like Josh McCown-- Josh is a super athlete with a big arm. Just never refined the game enough to be a upper tier QB.

I'm still on the fence about which QB I prefer. I like Mahomes but the gunslinger mentality tells me bad interceptions. I like Trubisky also he seems more polished to me less risky throws. Then Kizer he reminds me of Rustle Wilson with his arm and athletic ability to run. Even Watson seems like he just finds a way to win in big games. It's going to. E interesting. I think this is the time to get a QB. Seems they are several options not just one or two guys that get over drafted.

The real key for me is what qbs have the "smarts" to run a pro system especially BAs. Dumb qbs don't make it in the NFL.

Wish it was that easy to determine.

Blaine Gabbert was one of the most intelligent QB's to get drafted in the recent years and he was a top 10 pick. He had the highest wonderlick score at was a complete bust.

Check out his draft profile...sounds like Mahomes but I am not sure what he scored on the wonderlic (how smart is he?). http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/blaine-gabbert?id=2495441

Christian Ponder was another very intelligent guy...got his first college degree in 2.5 years. Top 10 in wonderlic and the #12 player drafted that year. Bust.

I like the kid and the mentality, would not be too sad if we took him in the first round.

Isn't there a picture of Brady's playbook with his notes using horrific spelling and grammar?
