After one of the games where we ran inside slants to fitz often, I thought the team finally figured it out but, we have not seen much of it since. He could be automatic 3-8 yard safety blanket gains on most any play if we just had him running those routes most of the game.

OT -The NY Daily News featured the Cards' "Hail Murray" receiving hero (presumably Hopkins) and then proceeded to publish - in bright technocolor - a pic of #20 (Kirkpatrick) instead of D-Hop (whose jersey # is #10).

Fame brings its usual screwups.

Hop. His hands are ridiculously huge and strong.

No doubt. We need to get them on some sort of hand-strength machine. LOL

https://www.verywellhealth.com/what-is-grip-strength-2224061#:~:text=Grip strength is usually measured using a hand-held,then calculated using the measurements from both hands.

Larry Fitzgerald's hand span measures 10 1/2 inches which is quite large. At 6'3", his hand span is around 14.1% wider than the average for his height."

The lifelong Cardinal has played 16 seasons in the NFL, and he’s seen over 128,000 passes thrown his way. Of the massive number of targets he’s received over the years, Fitzgerald has somehow only dropped 29 of them. (PS That ball against the Bills hit the ground and popped out so we'll stay with 29. Also, the author needs to check his numbers. Has he really had that many passes thrown his way? How many years did he play with Derek Anderson?)

What's the hand size of DeAndre Hopkins? Answer: At 6'1", DeAndre Hopkins' hand span measures an unbelievable 10.08". That's around 12% wider than the average hand span for his height.

Fitz got the height and hand size. On second look, his catch against the Whiners to end the half was probably more impressive than DHop’s. More DB surrounding him—with Boldin looking to take a snatch at the ball. If you can take a ball away from Boldin, well, case closed.

Fitz definitely has.... I vividly remember him catching one to end the game or at end of half and then just running right to the tunnel instead of celebrating with the team....

Against the Niners with Warner throwing it.

i know he caught a 50 yarder to close out the first half against the niners one year and i still believe he would have caught another
one in SB43 if Warner doesnt fumble with 40 seconds left

That was the one.

He caught it in a crowd, but he made them all look real stupid doing it.

Id take Fitz in his prime.

Without knowing the end result from yesterday’s hailmurray.....

Who would you send down to make that catch in the EZ?

27 year old in his prime Larry Fitz or current 27 year old in his prime D Hop?

of course it hypothetical and meant for fun convo....

Fitz, and here's a painful thought: If Kurt Warner were able to get that Hail Mary pass off at the end of the SB, I think Fitz would have come down with it. He had great position on the DB, and the DB even said that Fitz was in the best position to make the catch. But alas, Warner was sacked and fumbled, and the Steelers recovered the ball to end the game. It's tough being us.

maybe he is less powerful

You can't get much better than either guy in their prime

I honestly don’t think you go wrong with either guy

agreed but you can ONLY PICK ONE

With absolutely NO hesitation

I guess I’m down as the outlier on this one

Omg

His hands are ridiculously huge and strong

Legend by a finger tip

We need to get them on some sort of hand-strength machine. LOL

scroll down for a video

It's the trust factor that decides it, imo

That was the one

and here's a painful thought

Against the Niners with Warner throwing it.

end of the half. OT game where I think we lost after Kurt fumbled in the endzone and the Niners jumped on it for the winning TD.

Also, a classic Rackers game. I think Wiz iced him by accident in that one too and he missed a 36 yarder with no time left in the fourth to win it. Then we lost in OT.

Taller
Bigger hands
Stronger
Better hops
Legendary hands even then
And I’ve seen him catch a ball with one finger.

Larry “The Legend “ Fitzgerald

there’s no question.... it ain’t even close
