What can the Suns get for Booker?

An empty arena, a ton of canceled season tickets, and no hope of signing anyone above average in the future.

He's 23 years old and is averaging 25 ppg on 50, 40, 90% shooting. Only 4 players have ever averaged over 20 ppg while shooting that efficiently, Dirk, Bird, Steph, and Durant.

You won't get a better player than Booker in return so what would you want in return? Trading Booker would be the worst thing the Suns can do. They wouldn't get better, they'd get worse and be set back years.

Amare was pretty thin early on, but the dude could fly and, at least on offense, went right at people.

The Amare move that Ayton would benefit greatly from is that power dribble he would do when he got the ball about 10-14 feet out and then take two big strides at the rim. Ayton isn't as fast as a young Amare but he is still quicker than 90% of bigs and he is much much stronger than Amare was. If he just got his momentum going towards the hoop more he would often leave the defense with no choice but to let him dunk or foul him.

But... don't let Ayton watch any of Amare on the glass or on D... he is already well ahead of Amare in both respects.
Dunno about in D, but in the glass he’s outrebounding amare based purely on size, not on technique, boxing out, fighting for position, or drive. Granted amare had none of that either, but let’s be clear that from watching games I believe Ayton gets his 10-11 rebounds with minimal effort due to be 7 feet tall. If he actually exerted himself he’d average 13-16 rebounds like Drummond or jordan did.

And Amare got his boards by being... basically there, if he used his speed or athleticism he also could have been elite, he just never seemed to try on that end. Ayton has his warts, for sure, but I am not going to harp on his rebounding, no, he isn't the best in the league, but he was already elite last season.

You’re elite at something when you do it over the course of several years not based on numbers in meaningless games. That said Ayton was a better rookie than Amare just like he was a better rookie than Towns. I just hope we’re still not referencing his rookie numbers down the road if he doesn’t take the next step like the other two did.

Agree. Such a fun player to watch. The combo of him and Nash was awesome.
Yeah, we really need him to get healthy so he and Rubio can really enact the two man game with regularity. Then everything else can fall into place.

Also looking forward to Ayton possibly guarding LeBron once again.

Dedmon speaks out on trade request.

Suns need a rim protector more than a big man to stretch defenses.

“I would like to be traded,” Dedmon told The Bee, speaking publicly about his trade request for the first time. “I haven’t been playing, so I would like to go somewhere where my talents are appreciated.”

Kings general manager Vlade Divac and coach Luke Walton expected Dedmon to stretch defenses with his perimeter shooting while Bagley and Fox exploited increased floor spacing to punish opponents inside. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but Fox and Bagley have been hurt and Dedmon hasn’t held up his end of the bargain.
