Superman sucks on so many levels. The character is boring, he is invincible, his secret identity is stupid...he is a relic of an era that no one currently can relate to. As a comic book fan, I probably won't even see it in the theater.

This nerd knows what he is talking about.

They even tried to address these concerns and it still wasn't compelling.

the further I get away from that movie, the less I like it.

the most damning thing I can say about it is that I have no desire to ever see it again.

The most damning thing I have to say about Man of Steel is that I can't, in good conscience, take my 7 year-old granddaughter to see it.

This is the Superman film I would have wanted to see when I was 25, not 45.

On a side note, it's interesting that these are the #1 & #2 overall box office draws this year.

Also interesting that superman was thrown into 25-45 buildings in the last fight scenes without his hair getting messed up.

:)

And how do krypton people have laser heat vision again?

A wizard did it.

this won't be for long. Despicable 2 is going to cruise past Supes and the next Hunger Games will fly by it as well.

still, a very impressive haul for a reboot of a dying property...that wasn't anything special IMO.
