The San Antonio Spurs today announced that guard Manu Ginobili will miss the remainder of the 2008-09 regular season as well as the 2009 NBA Playoffs.
Ginobili felt stiffness in his lower right leg during the Spurs-Cavaliers game in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon. Following the game he returned to San Antonio. Earlier today, in San Antonio, he underwent a CT scan and an MRI. The examinations showed an increased marrow edema and a stress fracture in his right distal fibula.
No timeline has been determined for Ginobili’s return to the court.

My heart hurts so much....... NOT!!!!!

Personally, I think it sucks.

I'm not a Ginobli fan at all, can't stand him. Still, I have a hard time rooting for a player to be hurt. Plus there is the the idea that now San Antonio has an excuse when they lose in the playoffs, which they were going to do anyway.

Oh well, at least it isn't a team I actually care about.

I hate seeing players get hurt, but when it is a Spurs player, it makes my day.

This is Stern's doing. The day that the Suns are eliminated from the playoffs, he decides to make Ginobilli injured.

who cares, the Spurs are archaic now, and declining as well Parker is the only one of the core who is still effective.

Please tell me Duncan just completely slipped your mind when you thought up that statement.

actually he did slip out of my mind coz he has not been at its best recently, Of course I know he is a great player, but his recent injuries has limited his impact.

I watched the Spurs game the other night and Ducan could hardly run. They showed him walking to the bench and it looked like his knees were bothering him. One of the analyst made the comment that it has been a problem. I just don't see this team getting very far without Manu and an ailing Duncan. I wonder how bad physically he really is or if it's just a game by game thing with him (sort of like Nah's back)?
