Yes he makes to much for his role. That being said we dont need the cap space. Wont hurt to carry him on the roster in any way.

no doubt he is classy guy, but hes done well to stay in pro football (or at least on a high salary) for as long as he has imho, or maybe i'm wrong, maybe we need guys like this around....

Shipp needs no pointers on punt or kickoff coverage though, I think it all depends on how well Hightower pans out if Shipp is still on the squad...from comments last year by coaches, don't think they are about to give up on Arrington just yet.

Well the problem is Shipp is paid like a good RB not a special teamer. I like the guy he plays hard he's a team first guy, but he's overpaid for what he actually has brought to the table(as is JJ obviously).

Here's a guess...

Shipp will be asked to take a pay reduction to be kept on the roster. Same as Ross and ? (was it Clancy) last season. Then it will be up to him to accept or try his chances elsewhere.
