They really like him :)

"No rookie outside the first round has performed better than Marcus Golden."

Goes into the consensus he wasn't very good before the draft, and the great value Cards are getting now, including break down of Bengal's game.

I think it's early. I don't think it's an accident that Golden's two half-sacks came against two of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL, and two of the worst offensive lines, and his full sack game against a guy playing injured (Andre Smith).

The Cards have cycled through these high-effort, low-talent guys like Acho, Okafor and now Golden. I think that they can impress with early effort and skill, but they come in maxed out in the hand-placement and moved department, so they'll get 6 sacks a year and you'll let them leave in free agency.

I don't know what support the Film Room guys see in Golden becoming a "great" pass rusher.

Gee dude... I bet you where one of the guys who told Wellington after the battle of Waterloo all kinds of reasons why his victory against Napoleon wasn't much considering your evaluations, but I see your point lol

To be fair, he didn't really win it by himself.

Without Blucher things would have been a lot different.

Ironically enough, one might say things might be a lot different for Golden without Bettcher. :D

Not that I believe that, just couldn't pass up the Blucher/Bettcher thing...

Yeah...I see a high effort pass rusher who can win with power and has enough speed to keep tackles honest. Both him and Okafor are 8 to 10 sack a year guys who will probably not be good enough to move double teams off of Campbell. Maybe Golden can develop into more, but I think we have seen what Okafor is, and I expect Golden will wind up the same.
