nice!

As ******** as he is I would still use a 5th on him.

I'd really have to see what was there in the 5th.

This draft is pretty deep, especially at some positions of need.

LB:
Dale Robinson
Freddie Roach

OLineman: Either one of the Michigan guys if they fall.

I really think we are going to go with the LB in FA route. At least that is the feeling I get when Green, Pendy, and LB-Coach Bush as given interviews.

I know he is an older guy but he knows our DLine coach and is a FA, but could a guy like Earl Holmes be looked at for a 1-2 year deal as insurance for Hayes, upgrade to Darling(even though I really like Darling), and Mitchell is without doubt still a year away IMO.

Cowart and Rob Morris are UFAs as well. I haven't really looked into LBs yet, because pretty much I'm the biggest Gerald Hayes kool aid drinker in PHX.

Depends on how much Holmes would come in for. The DG "pie" talk has resurfaced and I really don't think he'll make much of a "splash". They will probably be like 4 or 5 pretty good players that come in and fill needs.

TE
FB
Interior OLine
STs
QB

As for the LB picks. I'd still really like to see us come out with Schlegel, Robinson or Roach. I don't think you can ever have too many LBs on the squad. Roach is pretty versatile. Roach and Robinson could probably play STs as well. Schlegel may or may not be worth anything, as a 5th rounder I'd take him though.

maybe he'd be worth a late pick, but i have a feeling someone will take him earlier than i would be comfortable taking him.

IMO Marcus Vick will be a 2nd day draft pick. 4th round at the earliest. Maybe the Cards take him. Remember that Rod Graves made a special trip last fall to scout him. Also Denny Green has a good track record on tacking on and having so called troubled players become productive. (i.e. he was the only coach to go after & draft Randy Moss).

Sorry, I want a QB with his head on straight. Tools are tools, McCown has tools, just not the smarts to succeed on an elite level.

Someone will take a shot at him in the seventh round, maybe. A year or two in the CFL or Arena League might do the kid some good, though.

As big a Michael Vick homer as I am, I'm not sure that I want anything of this guy...

I really don't think the Cards will touch him. Too much baggage.

I've always liked Homes, he led the Steelers in tackles a few years in a row, but he is coming off an injury and he is what like 31? I would much rather make a run at Witherspoon and play him at WOLB.

I know I am with the minority here but I would love to see the Cardinals draft Marcus Vick with a 2nd day draft pick. Then let him mature for a year or so under K.Warner and his upside could be immense. The Cardinals need to address the QBOTF in this draft. If Day 1 passes and it hasn't been addressed yet then Marcus Vick should surely be on there radar going into Day 2. Sure he has some off the field baggage but so did Randy Moss when Denny took a chance on him.

Go Cardinals/ America!
Tim

The Moss comparisons are a bit of a stretch. Marcus Vick is nowhere near the caliber of a prospect that Moss was and Vick has way more serious incidents surrounding him. Waving a gun around at McDonald's and getting 14 year old girls liquored up is a far cry from smoking pot and getting in a fight in high school.

You forgot trying to hit a traffic cop with his car...

But, I agree with the basic of your argument. Marcus Vick has some serious issues off of the field AND on the field. He is a risk, seemingly.

However, in the draft process there is some "due dilligence" that is done and we don't always know the truth of the situations and alleged infractions. So, Michael MAY have slapped little brother and helped him (I read he was living with him) in facing the future. Who knows? No one on this board I'm guessing...

So, if he was available in a late round and the Cards took a chance on him, I wouldn't be outraged. If they used a first day on him...different story...

What round do you guys think this outlaw will go in?

I would not take this guy if they gave him to us. We need people with some better character and sense than what he has displayed. Team him with T.O in Denver. That sounds good. He could understudy with Jake. I am sure Jake would like that.

Sounds like another Maurice Clarett to me. I doubt he will be drafted. I sure would not want him here. We have enough problems without having a psycho around.

It was more than just a "fight in high school" the severity of the beating that Moss gave that kid was so bad he had to have his spleen removed. Neither person is a good citizen by any stretch. Moss had more obvious talent than Vick coming out of college though...if Vick had the same amount of talent the talk would be of how far he'd fall in the first round not how far in to the second day he will fall.
