Does anyone know what the point spread was predicted for the Laker game? Also, anyone have tape of the last 5-7 min of that game to see if Tim D. made calls that were trying to dictate the point spread?

You mean the April 28th game?

The Lakers were favored by 2.5 and the actual outcome was Lakers by 7. Phoenix fouls 22 Lakers fouls 14. 17 FT's for Phoenix 23 for the Lakers. We got 3 technicals, to the Lakers 1. (not sure if they were 3 second T's or the other types)

However, the over/under for this game was 211 and the game only got to 191. That's a pretty big jump in that line.

I don't get it. Putting all the blame on Donaghy and calling the gambling problem fixed in the NBA should be insulting to everyone's intelligence (even if the crime was not committed in Arizona). It smacks of a pure whitewash to me. I just do not trust the spin doctors. There has to be much much more if only to improve the credibility of the referees.

Why best of 3? What about Utah?

best of 3 because u wanna get over it quickly.

not utah because u need only 1 team from the west and that team should be the suns.......biased talk of course.

and they'd have to recall Kurt and Jones from their northwestern teams so they can play on these 3 games. grant hill and the rookies are not allowed.

Well, Game 7 would have been in Maricopa County, right? That would have been a pretty big economic impact...maybe there's a case there?

The crybabies have already taken this thing and are running with it. Blaming players, officials, coaches, score keepers, towel boys, restaurants and club managers, and everyone else being in on the FIX.

Did David Stern tell the officials before the game, "Guys, whatever you do, make sure the Spurs win this game by ATLEAST 5 points. According to Suns fans, yes, that was the case.

Looking at the tape, there were a total of 8 highlighted infractions made by the producer of the video.

1 - Shooting foul, 2 FTA awarded to Ginobili (known flopper)
2 - Non call - Block on Amare Stoudemire
3 - Offensive foul, charged to Amare Stoudemire against Fabricio Oberto (known flopper)

After the call, Jon Barry spews more propoganda that is regurgitated by most in this forum.

4 - Blocking foul, awarded to Duncan.
5 - Personal foul on Diaw
6 - Offensive foul on Bowen
7 - Nash stripped by Bowen, leading to a technical foul on Coach D'Antoni
8 - Nash stripped by Horry driving through the lane.

How many did Tim Donaghy whistle? Hint. Less than Ed Rush and Greg Willard.

Are Suns fans that much in denial that the team wasn't good enough to beat the Spurs, and conspiracy theorists looking to deface the NBA. It's sad to see an entire organization instantly lose credibility because of one guy getting caught up.

Donaghy is an admitted fraud, but based on the video, Ed F. Rush would be the official in question so was he in on the FIX as well?

:D @ sports "fans" in Phx and a DA calling for the FIX when what they want to happen in the game, which doesnt happen.

It must be frustrating knowing that the home town fans are the only ones who believe in your recent title. Everyone else knows it's not worth the paper the asterisk is printed on. You can drive yourself crazy trying to justify it, but the bottom line is that bogus is bogus. The Spurs have already lost in the court of public opinion.

This line is the best one of them all. Donaghy is an admitted fraud, but there is no way that he could be lying about which games he might have had a hand in.

Thanks for coming to the suns board, it is nice to see that you are still in denial over the way your team won the championship so you feel the need to stop over here months after the end of the last nba season to try and make yourself feel better by spouting a bunch of garbage.

You see, if you want to make yourself feel less guilty over your tainted win by trying to convince us your title is legit, then you have to have a real good argument and demonstrate proper cognitive capacity. Otherwise, if you are not able to do so, then just post some crappy baised insulting homerism ridden garble like the rest of the spurs fans do.

So here I will explain:
I could break down your post but I will just throw one thing at you to not drag this on:

You do not make a convincing argument by basically saying that since the ref in question didn't make most of the bad calls but they instead were obviously made by another horrible ref in the same game that Tim Donagy was in (which I am sure is just a complete coincidence) that this means it wasn't a tainted win.

It wouldn't be more convincing, but, at least showing your biased nature and saying something like "Tim donagy didn't make very many bad calls that game so stop crying" would have been a lot more effective and on par with what most of the spurs fans say. That way we can just ignore your post and move on instead of having some type of double-negative cancellation tripe ("It wasn't done by tim but the other ref so our win wasn't tainted!" Uhm, WTF?) that you posted which makes little sense and basically wastes our time.

So try that next time. Thanks.

Accepting bribe/gambling money in Phoenix is a crime.

There has been no indication that these 2 particular games were involved in the criminal activity. In fact, his own allocution stated that the activity stopped in April. Why would he risk the plea agreement he worked out by lying about when he stopped? Although it could call into question the April 29th game against the Lakers. I sure hope he doesn't go after everyone who has accepted gambling money. I bet more than a few posters on this board have dabbled in the dark art of the point spread...lol.

No, it was game 4 that is in question. It was the April 29th game--a 113 to 100 Phoenix victory. Not that it matters, since the better team obviously won, but Phoenix had 31 free throws to the Laker's 17. You are referring to the April 27th game reffed by Bob Delaney, Derrick Stafford, and Mike Callahan. The April 29th game was officiated by Dan Crawford, Ron Garretson, and Tim Donaghy. There was no April 28th game.

What?
If I was Donaghy Maricopa wouldn't even get a worrisome glance out of me.

This idiot screwed Vegas out of millions! He'll be dead within the year.
