I know several either love him and his music to death or pretty much despise him with grave passion since he is obviously quite morbid/sadistic in his persona/image, but everyone must admit to a degree that Marilyn Manson is a musical genius......

Anyways... I really loved his first 3 albums "Portrait of an American Family", "Smells Like Children", and "Antichrist Superstar", but I havent really listened since listened to him extensively as I once did.....

Who else here are fans of his work or pretty much cannot tolerate him?

Personally, I only like Mechanical Animals, I think it's a great album, but I can take or leave the rest of his stuff.

I went to a NIN show in 94 and he opened, this was just before he took of, I have to admit the live show was good, but I never got into his stuff. I always found it intresting that Trent got him his start since he was a NIN live show guitarist. Side show, Jim Rows Side SHow Circus the the middle act,that is some crazy stuff, i found it also intresting that there was not age liit on the show even half of the Side Show was done with a naked women.

Marilyn Manson's tired of flogging that dead horse. The singer announced he's retiring from music to make short films.

Marilyn Manson Quits Music for FilmThe Antichrist superstar told Rolling Stone that he’s laying down the shock-rock to develop a new genre of film, which he’s dubbed “horripliation.” The films will be distributed through his web site, and will start with a four-part Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll. It will allegedly contain images of a taxidermy monkey set on fire and a pair of identical-twin women, playing Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, having sex with each other.

Could the sudden change in direction stem from the fact that Manson’s been more or less ignored by the mainstream? Hardly, he says. This time, he’s “tired of” producing art that’s easily commidified by record companies.

I missed out on this. I like Marylin Manson quite a bit. I have been backstage at two of his shoes and found him to be very approachable. Twiggy always cracks me up...he is definitely the strange one.

I really liked his work 'til Mechanical Animals, and less since, even if I never found it really deceiving... it's just a shame that Twiggy "left" .
And making a best-of was lame too...

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson married his longtime girlfriend Saturday in Ireland, People magazine reported on its Web site.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, married 33-year-old Heather Sweet in front of about 60 guests at Castle Gurteen, the home of a friend in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, the magazine reported.

Sweet is a burlesque dancer who uses the stage name Dita Von Teese. They have been dating for four years and Manson proposed at their Los Angeles home in March 2004, People reported.

It was the first marriage for both.

Manson, 36, wore a black silk taffeta tuxedo and Von Teese was in royal purple silk taffeta with a corset. They were married in a non-denominational ceremony conducted by underground filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky, a friend of Manson, the magazine reported.
