Kenji Johjima and the Seattle Mariners agreed Friday to a $24 million, three-year contract extension through 2011. The recently struggling catcher, who turns 32 in June, would have been eligible for free agency at the end of this season. He signed a $16.5 million, three-year contract before the 2006 season, after 11 seasons and seven Gold Glove awards with Fukuoka in Japan's Pacific League.
