Diaw is turning into a Marion double double clone. He only had 8 points, but threw in 5 assists. He should have had 10 assists or more if his teammmates could have hit their wide open J's he set them up for with his passes!

Pretty impressive play again from Boris.

LB "almost" had 20 again. He's keeping Jim Jackson on the bench, so far. Good to see. The question is, do the Suns extend Leandro at this point?

i'm telling you, while this may sound insane, diaw with 40 minutes is just about 10/10/10, but maybe even more rebounds. i really enjoy watching him play, because not only does he do all that, he also seems to not be bone-headed (VERY few turnovers, seldom finds himself in wrong position defensively).

the only negative thing so far is below-average jumpshooting and a penchant for laying it up when he should be going up strong. one of those can be changed, i don't know about the other one...

I didnt know about Diaw at the time of the trade, but when he played agains Kirilenko in the Ero Championships, I knew something was up. Boris has played very tough and unselfish. His all around skill was a shock. He still has a huge upside. If this is a "role player", he can play many roles, so many we may have to just call him an all around player. ( I ditto the negatives, but think they can be overcome by a smart player like Boris)

They already picked up the 4th year option on both LB and Diaw.

That means they are already signed for next year. It is too early to extend past that I think.

Maybe this next offseason though.

What impressed me about Diaw in the Detroit game was him blowing by Wallace for the takes to the hoop twice..and he finished well around the hoop (although i keep hearing about these hops but he hardly seems to throw it down)..that is a GREAT sign and that guy is way too quick for most other 6'8 players not named Lebron to guard.....Hes a keeper:thumbup:

Yeah, his penetration into the paint has been huge for the Suns, since he's the only non-guard who can really do it. When he gets into the lane he uses his great vision, and even though teams know he's looking to pass there's nothing they can do but converge on him. If they don't collapse, he's shown he will put it up when he has to. Diaw has been the only guy other than Nash and Leandro that can consistently create better shots for the team. Once Amare comes back, a lineup of Nash, Bell, Marion, Diaw, and Amare will be very dangerous. Two guys who can get into the paint and dish off to Amare, just like they had last year with JJ and his penetration. Suns are going to be looking good if Amare can come back this year. And if not, look out 2006-07.

now all the suns need to do is develop or find some bigs who can post and play d and a championship wont be far away. diaw and barbosa just needed time and patience which most teams dont have. they both have unique games.

Agreed here as well. Diaw incredibly quick and a good ballhandler for a 4/5. I think he will be most effective abusing 4's and 5's. If he could only develop a pull up jumper and more aggression as he gets closer to the hoop, he would be a defensive nightmare for everyone else.

Same problem we've had since 1968
