So wait, I'm confused. Do you want to trade Marion for Wallace, or for Prince? Not that Detroit would do either...

Marion for either (plus a first rounder) at this point.

I'm not trying to be an alarmist, It's just stupid our championship window should be messed with because of this stuff.

I just see Sarver being stupid, he could have approached situations different. He failed
I see Marion buying into the hype of how he's portrayed. He failed.
I see the Media fueling it over the years, and it is something that I'm sure happens elsewhere. They failed.

How could he have approached this situation different? Shawn Marion has been part of trade rumors since the Colangelo days. The media and Shawn himself are the root of his problems, not Sarver and the organization. This guy is the highest paid player on the team. There is absolutely NO reason whatsoever that would support us coddling him like he was a baby. He wanted to be a leader and be the man? He never stepped up and acted like one. Instead, he complained to the media all the time, and it got old.

There is very little ammunition to support this statement. Sure, he's made some mistakes, ALL GMs DO. But we still are consistently contenders, no matter how much people think Sarver is destroying the team. That just isn't true.

Little ammunition??? I don't want to start this debate again but you may want to go back and read some of the older threads. Read the parts about giving away draft picks, giving away key players, etc.

The fact is, if GM's mess up like this are fired. The problem is noone can fire the OWNER.

The Suns have averaged 59 wins a season for the last 3 years and have gone to the WCF twice. They also have one of the highest payrolls in the league. I don't feel like I have much to complain about as far as Sarver is concerned.

This is the reason that Sarver can do what he does. Most fans are content with winning during the regular season and loosing in the playoffs. As a result, they still buy tickets, jerseys, etc.

The Kurt Thomas trade is going to bite us in the ass this year and in the future.

It's people like you that will NEVER be happy with pretty much anything that happens as long as Sarver is in control. It's too bad that he's turned you off so much.

Get over it man. I loved KT, but paying 16 million dollars for a guy that can "hold" Duncan to 27 points and 14 rebounds on 57% shooting is a big waste of money. I'd rather have KT than Skinner, but Skinner is a much better value for the money. I'm certainly not going to get upset with Sarver over it either.

You are right. If he keeps making the same idiotic moves, I will never be happy. Neither will most suns fans. What an insightful comment that was on your end

Prince and Nazr Mohammed for Marion works according to RealGM.

The question is, why on Earth would Detroit do this? They wouldn't. What about if the Atlanta pick was thrown in? Still, probably not.

But I'd do it (with the Atl pick thrown in too). Prince is nearly as good as Marion, and at all the same things. You get another big body to throw at Duncan, its an ideal trade for the Suns, but just makes no sense for Detroit.

He was the MVP of that spurs series on the Suns. He allowed us not to double Duncan. To ship of the guy that gives you the best shot to beat the team that has consistently owned us is irresponsible. Not to mention the draft picks...

Whatever though, let's just agree to disagree. Sarver is certainly not worth any more discussion.

He was valuable but he wasn't the MVP. The Suns didn't double Duncan and Duncan still killed the Suns. Perhaps KT's amazing defense isn't worth the money the Suns were paying him.

This is true, a guy that is wheezing after playing 25 minutes(KT) cannot cost 16M. For the first 25 minutes KT was great, after that he was just too tired to be on the floor. I just wish that we didnt have Marcus Banks contract, then KT would be more reasonable. I cant blame sarver for wanting Marcus Banks though, I dont think he made that decision.

the 16 million dollars thing is such BS. It's the sum of the payroll that put us at 8 million over the cap. Hell, I'd rather have KT at 16 than Banks at 9, or Marion at 25.

Understandable, but Skinner is still a much better value at his contract than KT was at his. Oh, and Marion is a better value at 25 than KT is at 16 and you know it. :)

This entire situation makes my head hurt. Wasn't this supposed to be the championship season? Way to go Mr. Selfish.

I would trade him to the Orlando Magic, or the Toronto Raptors. I want him to play with a big that has a bigger name than him.... like he never really gets out of Amare's shadow.

I had thought Odom was older than he really is. I'd take him or AK. Doesn't really matter. If Shawn is unhappy with the team then we should try to do whatever we can to help him out. He has paid his dues with the team and we should respect that.

Paid his dues?...... He paid nothing! He got paid. As far as I am concerned he is and will be overpaid. Yes I think he is valuable but 17 mil a year? PLEASE!!!! SUNS can trade him for someone valuable! Otherwise he stays until we decide he is gone.
