But his numbers were the same with Kidd and with Marbs, so it doesn't surprise me at all.I guess it's surprising since he didn't have Nash hand-feeding him the ball

And does anyone have any reports/links about Banks to back up these claims that he was selfish and a poor worker? Everything I read had been his charitable efforts and his tying to learn from Steve. I just don't get it.
I really don't get the Banks hate at all? I always felt he busted his ass out there and was penalized for not being Steve Nash by D'antoni. And unlike Barbosa, no one decided to have an assistant take Marcus as his pet project and grow him. I love Mike but I think his handling of Banks was a crime as it seems he was against him from the start.

I for one think he is a good numbers guy but not really a player conducive to consistent winning at this point in his career. But i do think both he ans Shawn will get their numbers in Miami and make it seem like a great trade but not win a damn thing with them.
Anyone else see that alley-oop at the end of the game that wade missed Shawn on to get within 4???
For as good as Wade is - That ain't Steve Nash throwing you passes anymore Shawn
It was mostly from radio talk - lots of those guys always said Banks had an "attitude" and didn't want to work hard in practice. I can only surmise that he and D'Antoni didn't see eye to eye.
I'm missing Marion for the suns already felt really really strange watching him play for the heat ...

Rather than starting another thread, maybe we should keep this thread as an ongoing Marion watch?
He's got 20 points and SEVENTEEN rebounds against the Nuggs with 2:30 to go.
Nice game.
23 and 18 to finish.....Im already missing him
Huh? He's just doing what he does. Marion wanted out. Period. He's happy about being traded, what did you expect him to do, sulk? This is the second time in a row that the Heat have given a scare to a playoff team with Marion in the lineup. He seems to be fitting in extremely well in terms of production.
I mean good god...18 boards and 23 points?? If that's not an FU to the Suns and a housewarming gift for Heat fans, then I don't know what is.
...
Haslem is out, blount is scared of Rebounds.... Who the Hell else is there to Rebound in Miami...
Marion is Marion.. period...

I don't think Heat fans expect him to sulk at all. But if you're specifically asking about my expectations, I'm predicting that Marion has a honeymoon with the Heat where he puts up monster numbers for a couple of weeks, then finally settles down into relative obscurity as the Heat try to quietly end their disastrous season and look to the future.
That's usually what happens when most good players are traded to bad teams, where the season is already forfeit. No big deal, though--with a healthy Haslem and with Marion in their lineup a full season, and with a solid 1st round pick coming off the bench next year, the Heat are going to be a very dangerous 6-8 seed in the East.
