Mark May was just on the broadcast for the Hula Bowl...he commented on the hiring Whisenhut....he said he played with Whisenhut when they were both with the Redskns...and he thought it was a great hire as Whisenhut will get alot out of our offense. Anyway.....I googled Mark May...I knew he was an offensive lineman in the NFL....but what I did not remember was that the played for the Cardinals..and it appears his career ended while playing for the Cardinals because he fell in the shower.....more evidence that maybe we are jinxed!
Football Playing Career
May was drafted in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, where he played until 1990 and won two Super Bowls -- XVII and XXII -- as a member of the famed "Hogs" offensive line. He was named one of the 70 greatest Redskins of all time.[2]
Following his tenure with the Redskins, May played for the San Diego Chargers (1991) and Phoenix Cardinals (1992-93) During a post game shower, May suffered a nasty fall which forced his early retirement in 1993.
