If Geno Smith makes it to the second round I will donate $100 to the Tea Party. :D
If Geno makes it to the second round, I'll eat broccoli.

If he makes it to the second, I will walk backwards for a complete day.

Yamon even if teams just went straight BPA, Smith would still go in the first. Then add in the teams with real QB needs, and the better off teams that like to pick up QBs in the mid-late first round just because they can when they see one slip down. I think if Geno makes it past 15 or so, teams might start leapfrogging to get him.

Yeah but you never know. It doesn't hurt to be optimistic. :D

I honestly don't think he'll go top 15 anyways.

Is Flynn limited to the WCO or would any QB needy team consider him? I don't really know about his arm strength but he sure lit it up when he got the chance in GB.

Cleveland? Jacksonville? It wouldn't exactly hurt the Cardinals to bring him in for a look either.

Flynn has a high avg yds per pass so I don't know if its because he can throw the ball downfield or if its because he can find the open receiver who gets a lot of YAC. Either way he seems to get yardage on his completions and he has a 60+% completion rate.

I would like to see the Cardinals at least bring him in to see what it is he can do. I think he can be successful in the right offense. I really think Arians is going to go out and get a veteran QB and will not even select one in this draft. I really think that is the plan. If they draft a QB it won't be til next year at the earliest. Just a gut feeling I have.

Light it up? It a well known fact that he has a noodle arm, he had one big game and that was against the Lions the worst pass d in football

What's wrong with the Tea Party?

These are his stats the last 3 years and his career stats. They really are not shabby. Somehow calling him a noodle arm seems pretty lame. I think some are discounting that fact that he may very well be a pretty good QB. I suspect he did not fit the offense Carroll wanted to run which required a QB that could scoot often while Flynn is more of an pocket passer. I do not think at least taking a look at him is a bad idea. Maybe Arian decides Flynn is not worthwhile however considering what is on the roster now you would take Skelton and Lindley over Flynn? Even if he's no better than Kolb I would think he would at the very least last longer than Kolb who is a injury waiting to happen.

Let's assume they are very much the same. Do you have Kolb who may last 4-6 games before he goes down or Flynn would would probably last 16 games.

Seattle isn't going to trade him to us unless we give up way more than he is worth.

this - he still has value to seattle and they aren't in a need to move him, but are definitely willing to listen to what is out there

he's easily be the best QB on the cards current roster though

Then why did Carroll sign him as a free agent?

We may "assume" that Kolb will get hurt given his history, but, we can't "assume" that Flynn who has never been a full-time starter will "probably" last a full season under centre.
