Digging this team. Ayton isn't getting many blocks but I'm not that surprised. The Mavericks practice against DeAndre Jordan, they've learned to avoid shot blockers in the paint or draw a foul. Ayton isn't being dumb and fouling while trying to swat the ball away. A miss is a miss, whether he gets a block or not. Offensively I love how he's barked at others on our team to go somewhere or do something. He seems like he knows this will be his team, and it might even be his team now save for Booker.
Canaan is playing solid. I'm glad he looks as good as he did with us last year, which is all I hoped for. That version is good enough to play 25-30 minutes at PG for us. He doesn't need to do a lot but 10 & 5 with 1 or 2 turnovers is fine.
Warren looks like an entirely new player. If he keeps this up he could have the highest trade value of anyone not named Ayton or Booker. Not that we should trade him but it'll be interesting to see how long he can keep this up. Wouldn't surprise me if TJ takes Anderson's starting job soon though, probably once either Jackson or someone else can prove they can carry the scoring load off the bench.
Working with Crawford might help TJ. That's one thing Crawford might be able to help a lot with, coaching up our youngsters off the bench. He's a 3 time 6th man of the year. He can explain the value in playing, period, and how it doesn't matter who starts.
Really happy with everything about the team, the offense looks like a real NBA offense and the Suns look like a real NBA team. Seeing Ayton do what he wants against a former Defensive Player of the Year is DeAndre Jordan is something. Someone else mentioned how him being compared to Embiid doesn't make a ton of sense because their styles are different and this game helps reinforce that. I wouldn't trade Ayton for Embiid and Simmons. He looks legit.
