eh why would we sign a 33 old Millsap to a big contract when we have a rising 19 year old PF who looks ready to be a productive starter next season.

It doesn't make any sense unless the Suns are looking to make a serious playoff run next season. Then how do the Suns play Chriss and Bender. Could the Suns be thinking about trading Bender for an early draft pick?

Seems like we always sign the wrong brother, or even sometimes twins! :)

At least the younger Millsap would probably be content playing in the D-League. The Morris twins were never content.

It's not the money that is a question, the Suns are well below the salary cap, it's the roster spot. Even in a slow offseason I don't see Millsap making our roster next year so we're paying him to stay home. It's a questionable decision. Similar to how we kept John Jenkins around for so long this season although his contract wasn't guaranteed.

As I said, it is probably more of a reward to bring the young Millsap up for a couple of games and perhaps into preseason to play with the big boys.
