Dang, I was right about Warren's efficiency being the bigger problem than Book's volume shooting... just to rub it in he has a perfect shooting game. And Len has to have one of his good days, relatively speaking...

At least Bender had a decent outing - 35 minutes. It looks like he kept shooting 3's until he hit one.

Good catch. For some reason I was looking in the win column.

If Bender turns out to be a player, this will be huge. He played well tonight and on a couple of occasions he passed the ball out from underneath the basket instead of putting the ball up. Sort of the PG mentality kicking-in.

It's hard to know who the Suns draft with no glaring need except upgrading the roster. If the Suns should trade Bledsoe, I can see Ulis wanting to start.

I really don't know anymore. If Bledsoe leaves then why try not Ulis out? If we draft a PG... Good..If we get Jackson.. Good.

IMO, Ulis should start in any case because he's the kind of PG who will help the other young guys develop. Playing with him they will be rewarded when they make the right moves. With Bled it's hit or miss. Heck, almost everyone in here remarked at least once that the offense runs better in Ulis' hands. Of course, it would help to have a better offense to run. I know a lot of people think we should stick with Watson until we get close to contending but that's backwards thinking to me as young guys will develop bad habits running poor sets - Watson will never get them close to contention.

I've gone back and forth on Ulis. I think he may be legitimate starting PG material in 2-3 years. Maybe they draft a wing, keep Bledsoe and plan for Ulis to take over in 2019. I have no idea.

I know think Jackson would be ideal for PHX. Ulis is the long term answer to the PG question, he is not going to be content with coming off the bench long term. Maybe PHX picking at #3 will be a blessing in disguise as the decision will be made for us if BOS and LAL take Fultz & Ball. The only thing that could throw a wrench in that happening is if Jackson goes in Top 2 which recent rumors are out there that he could possibly go #1 after the impressive tourney he had. Hopefully, ARZ doesn't fall past #3 because after the Big 3, they would have to settle for the next tier down and I am not all that impressed with Tatum or Smith.

Phoenix drafting #1 is always the best case scenario. The Suns pick the player they want or look to swap picks with another early lottery team via an agreement.

We can afford to do that, we will not be using the maximum of our capspace next year either.

Signing Millsap even when he goes straight back to the Dleague might give him some bonuses. The Brooklyn Nets recently signed two guys to minimum contracts and immediately waived them again so that they would get some benefits as official NBA players for this season.

IMO, this contract is mostly rewarding Miilsap for his D-League efforts. Sure there is always a chance he could make the Suns 15 man roster next season but I think the chances are slight. Also he is 29.

An interesting thought, could the Suns have interest in Paul Millsap. He can opt out of his contract with Atlanta next season. His stats are still quite good but he turns 33 in February.

It's not the money that is a question, the Suns are well below the salary cap, it's the roster spot. Even in a slow offseason I don't see Millsap making our roster next year so we're paying him to stay home. It's a questionable decision. Similar to how we kept John Jenkins around for so long this season although his contract wasn't guaranteed.

You always need contracts of varying amounts to help you make trades. Pieces. Mcdounagh (SP) always talks about getting pieces, draft picks, players, etc., to give the team better trade possibilities. I am thinking his contract is more valuable to Phoenix than the player.
