The Portland TrailBlazers agreed to trade the 24th, 56th and worst of their second round picks in 2010 to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday for the 22nd pick in Thursday's NBA draft, according to a league source.
The trade has been agreed to in principle by the two teams. It should be finalized by the league office later today.

Why make a trade to jump two spots when nobody knows who will be there?

Why make the jump to two spots PERIOD in this weak draft? This might be just a move to minimize the guys your going to have to sign to a contract at the end of the draft??

I read on espn that they are very interested in getting some international player. The reason they moved up two spots is because sacramento who has #23 also has a lot of interest in that player.
