On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Defense Grid 2 ($14.99 ERP) for free during the month of May. Costume Quest 2 ($14.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from May 16th to June 15th.

Defense grid i think is tower defense. Meh.

I'll try costume quest. looks like a kids RPG, maybe my son will like it.

On Xbox 360, starting Sunday, 01 May, GRID 2 ($24.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through May 15th. Then on May 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Peggle ($9.99 ERP) for free through May 31st.

Peggle is tons of fun, I recommend it. Probably wont bother with Grid, have enough sub par racing games already.

While going through my divorce, i was accused of buying too many video games and spending all our money on that. I didn't buy a single video game the entire time I was married, it was all games with gold. Hah. Comical

Considering how good some of their past months have been, I'll give them a pass for having a meh month.

Agreed. They can't all be great months. I wonder how much of this has to do with who they successfully negotiate with to offer these games for free?

Costume Quest 2 is a decent kids game... it's a puzzle game that also has an RPG aspect to it with turn-based fighting like a Final Fantasy game. You can also press buttons at certain times during attacks to do more damage or block (when being attacked).

Your group of kids get lots of different costumes to change into that give them different powers in the battles against bad guys in the search for Halloween candy.

I played through the 1st Costume Quest when it was free on the 360 and liked it enough to buy #2 when it was on sale a few months ago.
