Mayock's Mock Draft: Cards take Patrick Peterson.

Mike Mayock just put out his one and only mock draft and he has the Big Red nabbing Patrick Peterson with the 5th pick. He said the pick of Peterson means the Cards are serious about regaining control of the NFC West and that the team is confident in landing a free agent quarterback.

An interesting note, he also has the Texans taking Robert Quinn with pick #11. If the rumored trade goes through between the Texans and the Cardinals, maybe Arizona lands Quinn with the 11th pick.

Going to be alot of fun tommorrow.

In Somers' chat today, he said that Quinn is more of a 4-3 end and performed poorly in LB drills at his pro day. I don't know if that's the team's stance, as well, but Somers seemed to dismiss Quinn as an option.

I agree! Originally I wanted a trade down if both Miller and PP7 were gone, now I'd stay put and draft A.J. I just pray, the Cardinals don't trade down period. Hopefully this is the last time in a long time we're in a position to draft an elite prospect like those three. Don't blow it!

I think Mayock is gonna be right. It seems Von Miller is going to be gone by the time we pick. We will go passrusher in the second. Probably Justin Houston or Brooks Reid. My gut tells me that if Gabbert is there we pick him, but I think he will go to the Bengals at four.
