You compared them to Gannon's and I simply pointed out that Gannon was a career journeyman and backup until he was about 35. Do you really want to give Josh that much time?Skkorpion said:We disagree on McCown's abilities.

DKCards said:The only thing he contributed was 9 of the 11 wins the Cards have had in the last two years. Never talked negative about the coaches or management or other starting QBs. Was always a team player. But your right he didn't give them anything...
Good point, Bobcat!Bobcat said:Josh is really a great back-up, like this kd from the Titians. He should realize that and strive to be the best back-up the Cardianls have ever had in the teams history. But visions of the next level always seems to entice the young, and more power to them. But all in all the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence as one may think.

The implication is that on a better team, he would be better ----- overlooking the unforntuate fact that the Raiders have been worse the past two years than the Cardinals.

Snake said:Although this isn't saying much, McCown would easily be the best QB Miami has had since Marino retired.
In all honesty, I do hope wherever he winds up, he's successful. He seems like a truly good guy, and has some intangibles to be a pretty solid NFL QB. He really needs to develop some consistency though. One game, he'll look like the Second Coming of Dan Marino in one game, and the Second Coming of Dan McGwire in the next.
If he can put ANY kind of consistency together, and a team is willing to wait it out with him, he could be the next Hasselbeck/Delholme (sic).
