Watkins can really run but I think he's one of those long stride guys that doesn't get off the ball really quick. I think that's more important in the NFL and I suspect that's why Watkins fell. Last year a month before the draft they were saying he was a 2nd round pick.

Watkins: 4.44

According to a recent article, Hunter runs a 4.4. According to Duetto (I hope he doesn't mind), the Rabbit ran a 4.36 at 202 lbs on senior pro day.

"The Sporting News" magazine, Roger Robinson ran a 4.37 fourty on his proday. That would make "The Rabbit" the fasted guy on the team and the fasted back in the 2005 draft. I just reread the info and I stand corrected.... it was 4.37.... not 4.36.

Correct. The two fastest RBs in the 2005 draft were RR (4.37) and JJ (4.39).

BTW BJ ran a 4.37 at his pro-day. But that's obviously a different straight-ahead speed (fast but not quick).

Darrell Hunter is very fast as well. Former State Track Champion and recorded the fastest 40 time in Miami of Ohio football history.
