I didn't even know there was a Brandon McDonald on the roster.

So I guess you could say Jefferson is "movin' on up"?

I was waiting for McDonald to play. He actually has played in this league. Thought he could replace Adams. Coaches must not have been impressed.

Adams has been playing very well these past weeks. The Meachem TD was the result of a blatant push off that wasn't called.

Jefferson can return punts and has insane potential. I'd love to see what Donnie can do with him.

I only like seeing Adams on special teams. Was really hoping we could upgrade. I really liked what I saw of Jefferson in preseason.

I think it's all about creating a Presidential presence on the Cardinal roster.

We've got a Washington, Adams, Johnson, a Wilson and now Jefferson.

Plus we've got one Chief Justice (Roberts).

AKA (all kidding aside) - I think the elevation of Jefferson ties in with the remaking of our secondary to have a greater percentage of corners in the mix who are athletic enough to play man-coverage. (We're moving away from the McFaddens and toward the Tolers and the Jeffersons).

Along the same line, Toler was in on 11 or 12 tackles last week. If other teams are going to continue to work him over, we're going to need some depth of a similar nature behind him.

Maybe a move to have him try PR and to give him a shot to fill in for DRC when he forgets he is on the field at times...at least he has the physical tools to learn the spot...DRC has been terrible for the most part

McDonald did play the last two weeks. He pushed McBride to the inactive list. Which makes this move a little surprising.

Only thing I can think of is Jefferson was brought up as a PR. But if McDonald was ahead of McBride why not get rid of McBride?

I think the lack of EXPERIENCED depth in the DB crew leads them to keep McBride - wasn't Toler praising McBride in his experience and ability during the pre-season? It would seem to fit the coaches billing of keeping a senior around regardless of ability just to have some experienced presence, and I don't think I would disagree, our DB's are green.

This is really a good move, bringing Jefferson up to the big leagues.

I have him as a key component in the nickel defense for our Superbowl run this year.
