‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD’ reportedly has a $180M budget. The film is currently tracking to open with $95M domestically.
With how many delays and reshoots there have been, there’s no way the budget was only 180 million.

And I’ll be shocked if it reaches 95 for the 4 day. The MCU brand has been tarnished so much and I’m not sure people are locked into Mackie as Cap enough to make that kind of scratch out of the gates on opening weekend.

Deadpool proved that if the concept excites fans they will go see it. However, I think the days are gone when they still flock to mediocre films. Not just because of the brand being tarnished but money is tighter as well and now there is so much streaming.

I do agree with you on the Mackie thing. I have watched a bunch of his work on other stuff. He is entertaining. I like him but I don't really buy him as the new leader of the Avengers.

I'm all in on Anthony Mackie...it's the organic transition of the character iirc.
Harrison Ford...as Red Hulk??
I been a huge Ford fan ever since Solo fired first... but imo he doesn't fit in the MCU...and certainly not as Red Hulk.
