Incredible ending (throwing out anything realistic... remember, this is on par with Marvel super heroes.... ;) ) Epic fight finish. They really should have stretched this out by 30 minutes or so, but within its genre, it was excellent. Looking forward to season 4!

Pretty sure there are still 3 more episodes this season.

Oh, is the season over? So, did they...

Also get rid of Karen? I hear she almost immediately went to LA, FFS.

Hasn’t been seen since she left.

SORRY. This is supposed to be over in the Reacher thread. DOUBLE DUMBARSE ON ME!!!!

It’s funny because the most recent episode of Daredevil ended in a big fight as well (although not as epic as the Reacher fight) and it was probably the best episode of the season, so your post didn’t seem super out of place.

So the whole "We're bringing the whole crew back" was a ******** lie to sucker viewers in because of all the negative press, and then they just fridged them immediately. So, so freaking glad I stopped watching.

Pretty good season so far. It's really solid. Also, in a bit of interesting news? Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Hanson) have been announced as returning for Season 2. I was listening to a podcast and because so much of the season was already finished there was only so much they could do for reshoots and budget. Most of that budget went towards re-editing and rejigging the episodes. Sounds like there will be more of them in Season 2.

The entire season was basically in the can. It was unrealistic to think they were going to reshoot everything. You do you. It’s a good show. Hoping there will be more this season and even more next.

I wasn't going to respond, but as you want to blame me for not liking the absolute crap way they treated the fans, I'll bite.

Then the thing to do would be to not reshoot or change ANYTHING. The thing NOT to do is to lie to the fans, pay some pathetic lip service, then fridge them at first possible opportunity. My opinion? Anyone that puts up with that level of fuckery is rewarding said fuckery by watching. My further opinion? Fool me once, shame on me--I'll take the hit for wasting my time on it--but why get kicked in the nuts again? Basically, how can YOU believe a damn word they say now?

But, you do you. Just let's not pretend I should not feel hard done by because of the fuckery. That's on THEM, and your excusing of them. Don't tell ME at every turn not to feel a way about it.

You are conflating two different things. I said nothing about what they did with the characters. If you scroll up you find I wasn't happy about that at all. HOWEVER....that has nothing to do with the quality of the show which is really good IMO. Definitely a worthy followup of the Netflix show.

Again, I wasn't happy with that aspect but after listening to a bunch of interviews there was only so much that could be rejigged without throwing away millions of dollars. They did what they could. I was hoping they did more re-writes than they did but after listening to a bunch of stuff about it, that wasn't realistic even after they changed show runners. You can fault the studio for going with the new concept to begin with and that is fair. What is also fair is criticizing their embellishments about the returning cast.

However, they were in tight spot. They won't have the constraints they had with Season 1 so I will give them the benefit of the doubt because this wasn't a normal situation.

I am not telling you how to feel about it. Not once did I do that. If you choose to overlook the above and hate on it that's cool. That's what you do you means. That doesn't mean I am telling you how to feel.

It's a good show.

all they can do is show Foggy in flashbacks.
why bother even calling it "Bringing him back"?
great news for the actor I guess..he gets some work

but there is no reason for DD fans to care about that.

That’s fair if they use him only in flashbacks but Karen is scheduled to appear more this season and next. Fans still care about that. Again, those are separate issues from the quality of the show which has been good.

Plus:

I think they introduced an Infinity Stone which could bring Foggy back.

I don’t like what they did with Foggy and Karen but it’s still an entertaining series. Not quite at the level of the Netflix series, but it’s solid.

I was laughing at the spoiler only. Sorry I didn't specify.

I gave the show a shot; it shat in my eyes.
Not sure if that spoiler is actually true. However, it resembles what I put out there and there is a rumor that it ties back to the movies coming out somehow. It does make sense if true in terms of where the franchise has gone. Now if that ends up being a good story line is another thing entirely.

I hear you. The idea that it's a tie in, independently of the show, makes me even less interested. These show tie-ins are getting worse in quality. That's how you get idiotic mistakes like, in a re-watch of Daredevil, I had no idea what was happening at the beginning of Season 3.

Someone reminded me (don't recall the reference) that the Netflix show reference THE HAND/Resurrection Elixir, that had the ability to resurrect people which is part of the Daredevil/Elektra, Talia, Ras lore. I guess the original plan was to bring that into the Netflix Daredevil show but never got the chance. Rumor was Elektra was going to be eventually be Black Sky on the series.
