I hope IM flies around and blows things up, because, otherwise, it might be too Robocop.
Here's something to file away in the "I did not know that" file: Frank Miller wrote Robocop.

Yup, the same brilliant mind that brought you Sin City and 300 gave birth to Peter Weller in a tin can.

As a dumb kid, I enjoyed Robocop 1. How awesome will it be if they have crazy flying sequences with that Iron Man. When is this supposed to come out?

Actually he did not write Robocop.

He wrote what was turned into Robocop 2 and 3. What was done to his scripts soured him on Hollywood for years. His sequel(s) to the original Robocop were much darker and grittier (remember - we're talking about THE Frank Miller).

Here's a good read: http://www.avatarpress.com/2007/04/27/review-frank-millers-robocop/

Hey, Chap - how cool is it that Nazanin Boniadi is going to be in Iron Man? How was she to work with in Gameface? Some are calling her the "Persian Audrey Hepburn." That's very high praise.

Yep, she is definitely moving up fast. She is in a series on SoapNET, a spinoff of General Hospital that premiered last night. And she plays a similar character that she played in Gameface.

She was awesome, always a joy to work with, always enthusiastic about the project. It's her first feature, after all.

She will be playing a reporter in Iron Man, but I'm more interested in seeing her in the Tom Hanks movie Charlie Wilson's War, where she didn't tell me much more than that she has a "monologue".

She was awesome, and well, she's also extremely hot, so that was a big plus. Then again, most of the girls in the movie were pretty hot (and we had A LOT of them).

Jackson and Swank Confirmed for Iron Man
Source: Advanced Dark
July 23, 2007

Avi Arad has confirmed to MTV that Samuel L. Jackson and Hilary Swank will indeed make cameo appearances in Iron Man. Nothing else about their roles is revealed.

Superhero Hype! has also learned that you can see the actual "Mark I" suit from the movie worn by Robert Downey Jr. at the Marvel booth at Comic-Con this week. The suit was created at Stan Winston Studio.

Iron Man kicks-off next summer on May 2.

-----------------------------------------------------

Biggest/geekiest rumor: This will be Sam's cameo as Nick Fury before a feature film with Sam as Nick.

nick fury will be played by a black guy?

oh yeah,
they did that too with the kingpin..
In the Ultimate universe, Fury IS Sam Jackson. Bryan Hitch even copped to the fact that he's drawing sam jackson.

i gotta say, I was never really into Iron Man even though I thought he had hands down the best look of any superhero ever, but the clip they put together is pretty sick and seeing that outfit come to life was awesome.

Really curious to see what Favreau does with this. As an actor, he's pretty horrid (save Mikey), but as a writer, he's pretty solid and Elf was just flat out great. Never saw Zathura, but I heard it was good also.

Sweet!

I just saw the animated one. It was pretty horrific. Let's see if this one can do better.
