Kevin Feige did not confirm any casting. He did, however, offer a little bit of context for the MCU's version of the character. "Moon Knight is an action adventure, Indiana Jones-type story, directed by Mohammed Diab." He said.

"The character Moon Knight is a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder and these multiple identities that live inside him are very distinct characters in the series. The backdrop of our story is incredible Egyptian iconography. Egyptology is something the world's always been fascinated by, and we're going to tap into the fun and bold way."

Marvel Finally Confirms Oscar Isaac as ‘Moon Knight’ Star

https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/oscar-isaac-moon-knight-marvel-studios-disney-plus-1234983362/

Oscar Isaac is officially returning to the Marvel fold.

Seven months after Variety first broke the news that Isaac was in talks to star in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney Plus series “Moon Knight,” Marvel has finally confirmed that the 42-year-old actor will headline the project.

Naturally, Marvel did so via a tweet that reads, “‘WE ARE MOONKNIGHT’ – Oscar Isaac” — a sly tip of the hat to the fact that Isaac’s character — elite soldier and mercenary Marc Spector — has multiple, distinctive personalities, which he develops after he becomes the embodiment of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon.

This actually might not suck. But I've learned to never underestimate Disney's ability to destroy IPs people like.

Really looking forward to this. Also, sucks to hear about Gaspard. Gone way too soon. I think they will be able to incorporate that into the story though if you know about his character. You could recast based on what happens in the comics. Not sure how closely this will follow that. Just sucks when crap like this happens when someone has something this big coming out. His family must be devastated. R.I.P.

I struggled with the first episode a bit because I don't think it's what I was expecting. Dragged a little but still pretty good setup episode. Oscar Isaac is excellent as usual though.
