Newcomer Iman Vellani will star as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel in the series.

The Marvel Studios original series centers on fan-favorite Kamala Khan — a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, avid gamer, and voracious fan-fic scribe, Kamala has a special affinity for Super Heroes, particularly Captain Marvel.

This one feels very "kiddie" to me but could be good.

Tried this out on a whim, and we both really enjoyed it. Neat style and story. There is a "teen" element but it's not too over the top.

It was way better than I expected but my expectations were super low.

I do feel they did a good job addressing the complicated relationship with religion and women

I actually enjoyed this way back and will watch Season 2. Once it's free, I'm sure I'll try to gag my way through the Marvels just to be up on what happened with Ms. Marvel.
