I suspect he meant he wants to be here until the Suns can send him off in an equal value trade. He needs to play his best, too, if he wants to get major playing time - unless his three point shooting markedly improves he's not even a good fit for Hornacek's offense. If either of Leuer or Teletovic is healthy and shooting well(at levels they've shown in the past) the offense will probably work better with them than Markieff - they defend and run the floor equally well, too. I expect the team to 'showcase' him early on but if the discrepancy is too great they won't persist for very long. Another thing to consider is that with Chandler and Len manning the center I don't expect we'll see much of Markieff at the 5.
