I read that site and he is very knowledgeable(Scott WRight) but his last mock has the Texans taking Ferguson over Reggie Bush, seriously doubt that will happen they'd almost assuredly trade down a slot or two if they don't want Bush.

The other thing I don't like about that site is all the popups, you pretty much have to run a spyware program everytime you visit that site. Not that it's his fault about the spyware but the popups are advertising that is really annoying IMHO.

The site claims it doesn't predict trades, so Fergeson is there because Houston will take him at a lower draft position when they pick. It is a good site, but it takes more than one site to get a "feel" for players. Plus, most of these sites aren't updated, so fast risers (like QBs often are) won't project on the sites where they end up going.

That Mel Kiper chat also mentions DJ Shockley. I think he would be an interesting second rounder if we go another way in the first.

Scott explained that in his mock, though. He essentially said that Ferguson won't go no. 1 overall but in all likelyhood the Texans will trade down and select him. Scott's mocks don't account for trades, so he just projects picks based on needs and draft postion.

That's how the site stays free. I can bear a few popups for a free high quality draft site.

D.J. Shockley intrigues me.

I'm officially on the Cutler bandwagon  He even has a cool name.

I want him on our team (unless we can acquire Lefors in a trade :D )
Meh. Lefors. He's no Charlie Frye, that's for sure.

Did you know Frye was named Rookie of the Week last week? Yuppers.

Anyway, I'm all in on the Cutler bandwagon, too. Unless, that is, by some miracle Lienart falls to us.

I was looking at a couple of mocks today and Cutler was ahead of Leinart on one of them.......had heard his name before, but never heard anyone rate him AHEAD of Leinart.....

A quick note on the Senior Bowl: Don't bother watching the game. Everything I've read about the S.B. is that the NFL guys are there watching the workouts and practices, but the place is vacant on game day because everyone's gone home.

I'm sure Russ and I will post anything relevant that comes out of the workouts that appears on NFL.com or ESPN Insider. Those are the really valuable things (like all the stuff about Carnell Williams and Jon Gruden last year).

By the way, anyone know who is coaching the teams this year? Too bad that Mac screwed up the draft so bad when he coached it. It's a really good opportunity for coaches to find out about later prospects.

No way of knowing how good he is, as he's playing behind a pro-bowl QB. Another Steve Young? Hmmm :D

PS: I know that's wrong on sooo many levels. Sorry, couldn't help myself :p

I remember posting this a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned that due to an unknown draft class Cutler would sneek into the mid first round with a good Senior Bowl week just like Phillip Rivers did last year.

Vandy is normally last in the SEC so do not judge an individual player on whether they go to a bowl or how they finish in the conference. They are an academic powerhouse and sort of the Harvard of the South. You can bet Cutler is smart.

Vandy won 5 games this year and beat Tennessee. That season is like a BCS year at other schools. I watched him play Georgia and Florida too and they gave both all they could handle. Without Cutler though, they have their normal 1 or 2 win season. I like him, but I wouldn't take him over Young or Leinart. I'd be very happy with any of the 3.

I doubt if we draft a QB in Round 1 because some of us on here want one. :biglaugh:

Old Big Ben joke.

I'll take Vince Young or Cutler but if both are on the board Cutler would be my choice. He had no one to throw to so giving him receivers like Fitz and Boldin would be more than scary.

Man this dude is soaring up the charts. I was high on him all season.......guess I wasn't the only one. No 2nd round for him. Now you'd have to debate if you'd take him with our Top 10 pick.

At the start of the season he was selected as the best QB in the SEC. Being from Vandy that is a real accomplishment.

Well, there's one site I won't be adding to my "favorites".
