Was it you who won the Tourney Pick 'em?
Yup
Was it you who won the Tourney Pick 'em?
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!!!!
Firstly, for every "choke" Memphis had, Kansas had to execute in order for it to even be an issue. Regardless, there was an extra 5 mins of game for Memphis to pull ahead again and win, they ended up losing by 7 and it didn't even seem that close.
Secondly, Self could leave, but I don't think he will. He's got security at one of the top 3 programs in history. He was going to get a bump from winning the NC and now OSUs counter-offer is going to add to that a bit, but I doubt the $6M bonus/$4M per is a real figure.

Then I suggest you do a web search on T. Boone Pickens.
"Holder shows up at Faculty Council today and talks about OSU athletics and a lot about Self. He has not talked to him or his agent or anyone. He wants to give him time to enjoy the moment. He wants to do it strictly by the book and I believe him. Says he will be talking to him and the numbers that are in the press are not correct. His posture showed me that the press numbers are pretty high. Seems like his numbers are high, but not crazy high. He knows Self; has for a long time; thinks he is the ideal candidate for OSU; will talk to him in the most serious fashion he can. Not much more than that. Obvious that they want him but seems to realize that he has a wonderful situation. Seemed like he was proud and only wants what is good for both parties. I have seen a lot of BS from these kind of folk. He was sincere."
LAWRENCE, Kan. – An offer is on the table for Kansas coach Bill Self, but it is going to take more than just cash to keep Bill Self at KU.
NBC Action Sports has learned the University of Kansas has offered Self an eight-to-10 year contract worth between $25 and $30 million with incentives.
The 45-year-old coach met with Kansas athletic director Lew Perkins Wednesday.
The only hang up is that Self is negotiating for an upgrade in facilities for his players. He wants to see more money committed to the basketball program, which has been spending a lot of money trying to upgrade the football facilities.
Out of respect for his alma mater, Self said he will visit with Oklahoma State officials, most likely over the phone.
Self reiterated Wednesday that he loves the University of Kansas and both he and his family want to remain in Lawrence.
A new deal may be wrapped up by Thursday.
