Nice touch! Ken Kendricks looks almost as friendly as the non-executive staff. He must have rehearsed that one.

I wonder which D'back player is going to represent us at the All Star game at Chase Field, which will be the first National Park to ever host an All Star game with a DH. I hope that is not a sign for the regular season.

Edit: It does mean that the top two National League MVP finishers, Joey Votto and Albert Pujolz (both 1B) can be in the starting lineup, with the number four finisher, Adrian Gonzalez (also a 1B), as a reserve.

Adrian is in the AL. Also the video was quite impressive to get it done in one shot.

One more thing, I highly doubt this is a sign for anything other than just another step to protect pitchers in what is really a meaningless game. I will say this, the day they institute a DH in the NL will be the last day as a baseball fan for me. The DH has ruined baseball since they no longer play real baseball in the AL.

Thanks for the correction on Adrian Gonzalez. And I agree with your take on the DL. It reduces strategy and sends almost everyone up to the plate with a big swing.

Even with pitchers batting ninth, we see what that mentality did to the D'backs and its young players in particular. Swing for the fences, whif, whiff, whif. Very few hit-and-run plays. Or surprise bunts.

I was so relieved early in the D'backs history that their rumored switch to the American League didn't materialize. My favorite memory of Jerry Colangelo was his taking a strong stand to keep us in the NL and away from the DH.
