Considering we didnt have a #1 or #2 QB this season- going into next season with QB John Skelton guarentees the Cardinals will have upgraded the most important position on the team going into the 2011 season!

The more I see Skelton play the more I get excited knowing he will get a lot more reps in the OTAs, mini camps & training camp practices as (at the very least) the #2 QB on the team. To be that big, yet mobile with poise is very special.

That 40 yard sideline streak pass he threw to Fitzgerald late in the game vs. Panthers is a pass only the best QBs in the NFL can make as you need elite arm strength to beat the deep safety.

So in a season that we all want to quickly forget, the silver lining was QB John Skelton being able to get valuable playing time that probably wouldn't of happened if the season had went a little better.

Merry Christmas to Everyone!

The problem with Skelton being No. 2 is he it's obvious he's the best QB on the roster right now, and I can't think of a free-agent QB who would could justify calling No. 1. All the big names will re-sign with their teams or already have. Alex Smith will be retained by the 49ers now.

Unless Billy Volek excites you -- and maybe he should -- I can't see anyone else who definitely deserves to start over Skelton. There's a dearth of quality QBs in the NFL. Even the No. 2s are awful.

After watching these last few games it's easy to see Skelton going into mini camps as number 1. At least that's what I want from Santa!

If we can't draft Luck, why not roll with Skelton as our starter next year? We can draft another QB late and start the old Green Bay draft strategy, and use our top pick to get a pass rusher.

Now, if the team decided to draft Mallet, I wouldn't cry about it. If they named Skelton the starter and didn't draft a QB high, I wouldn't cry either.

The John Skelton that takes the field in 2011 - after all the off-season work- could be a very special player for the Cardinals!

If we do end up drafting a QB, I still see Skelton positioned to be the starter going into camp. Both will have a lot of learning to do regardless.

I would rather get a real Running back in the draft. plus some real offensive linemen.

Get a Vet. QB, maybe DM, maybe someone else. but John Skelton has shown me that he is as good as any rookie QB that has played the last two seasons, and maybe the last three. We are so spoiled by Kurt Warner's greatness that we forget that John has only been playing with the first team for the last 3 weeks. Damn give this kid a chance.

We have a very poor O-Line, and that does not help. to me Alan Faneca is a waist of money; I do not think that he could block my 88 year old mother at this point. Levi sucks.

What other team has their Center as Offensive Captain...??? Our Offense does not have an identity.

Please help this team Santa Please...!!!

I don't think Skelton will be the starter in 2011 unless he really makes significant improvement. I think we will get an experienced veteran as the starter. We will also draft a qb quite high. Skelton most likely will be competing for the backup role.

I expect Skelton to be number 2 as well. I am hoping that we find away to draft Andrew Luck, but I'm afraid we will end up taking Cam Newton. We will also probably get McNabb and this team will be at the bottom for the next decade.

I can live with McNabb-Skelton. Its a very nice UPGRADE over Anderson-Hall!

What about Hasslebeck - Skelton? That way we aren't roped into veteran hissy fits that will undoubtedly come with McNabb, and we can gain a lot of information on The Poodle's playbook.

LQQKs like my subject thread has taken on a life of its own. Great job by "Baby Ben" QB John Skelton!
