...nice dude. Was pissed at how many Cards fans sold their tickets to the Steelers game. Said all the Minnesota crap is rumors that weren't started by him and said the team loves Whis and how approachable he is. Said the team isn't looking at St. Louis like an easy win, said the Cardinals of the past have been the Rams of this year and when he was on those teams he prepared as hard as he could each Sunday to win and knows the Rams will do the same.

Saw Marcel there too, was with his girl just came up and said hi to Fitz real fast.

Fans need to stop selling their tickets to opposing fans.

Was just at the elephant bar...Fitz was meeting some agents. It was like 8 o'clock...so don't know if I call that out on the town ;)

He did ask Marcel to go somewhere with him and Matt and someone else(couldn't hear) later that night but Marcel couldn't because he was with his girl and her dad.

...nice dude.

I've always thought that in a personal setting, Fitz would be one hell of a nice guy. He seems really, really personable.

I met Frank Sanders at Fashion Square a long time ago Christmas shopping...he was super nice and we talked a lot about training camp (since I used to work it I could talk to him about the experience). One of the nicest cards I've ever met. Best ever was Lomas Brown. Was unimpressed when talking to Aeneas Williams though...kind of put a damper on my fandom of him. Eric Swann was also a very cool guy to talk to in a personal setting. It's great to talk to athletes without them being "athletes."

Do you usually see him out there?

Oh yeah. Me and Matt go way back. :p

Nah, I've never seen him. I was almost at Sugar Daddy's though the night Tyson got busted there.

The only Cards players I have ever seen at the bar have been at Jillys, lol.

My last job in AZ before moving to CA was with MicroAge. They used to have a corporate tent at the Phoenix open, and I got a pass one year and hung out there. We were right next to the Cards tent.

The Cards tent was mostly occupied by Cards cheerleaders, but occasionally a player or coach would come by.

One day I was there, I had just picked up a free Cards hat from their tent that had a red top with a blue bill. Joe Green was there, so I asked him to sign my hat. He had a blue Sharpie and sure enough, signed on the blue part of the hat. Couldn't even see the autograph.

I hung out for a while and saw LeShon Johnson chatting with someone. I walked over and politely waited for him to finish his conversation so I could get his autograph. He finished his conversation, turns to me and says "hey, how are you, ....". I clumsily interrupt, "CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?!?!?!". He looks at me for a second and says "Um, OK". Signs my hat. I walk off.

As I'm walking away, it hits me, he was trying to chat with me, and my ******** is so focused on the autograph, I missed it. I kick myself to this day for missing the opportunity to sit around and chat with a Cards player when almost no one was around.

And it just hit me that it wasn't Johnson, but Leland McElroy. And it was awesome standing that close to Mean Joe. So... :p

Leland McElroy signed a rookie card of him that I had during training camp. I remember talking with him for a while. He was a pretty laid back dude. I have NO clue what happened to that card. None. Jake signed a practice ball for my wife at camp because she worked "the rock" which is the section where the players come in. I think he wanted to make out with her. Tommy Bennett wanted to totally bang my wife back then...he practically stalked her for two weeks...it was hilarious. We made so much fun of that guy (the Cards crew). He was way hard up on her and kept trying to get her number.

Again, Frank Sanders was a cool cat and she was sitting on the rock and it was raining, and he came out with a towel on his head and gave it to her to block the rain...she laughed and said it was ok...so he smiled and signed it and put a bible verse on it..(he's very religious) and chatted for a bit.

man, cards crew at Training camp was awesome.

Forgot to mention....he also made fun of my seats and said his were much better. I offered to trade and he said he couldn't do that to me, I'd end up in the hospital. :)
