i only have so much budget for shows - NEVER seen Venom live and haven't seen the Frost in 20 years.
I definately wouldn't mind getting a goods look at the singer of ArchEnemy...

Dollars are tight, I'm afraid that if my bands not playing the show, I won't be there.

i tried to go to gigantour last year and the lawn was roped off, no point in going to a metal show without moshpits.

PS slayer on july 21st was awesome, ive seen em 10 times now and it wasnt the best performance but awesome regardless, lamb of god was sick as hell

Slayer was awesome as always, but the soundman needed to be decapitated. He lost the sound on the vox 3-4 times and the guitars 2 times. What a putz!

Venom actually played last Thursday - Marquee was maybe 1/3 full, but they put on a great show.
Cronos was in full garb - leather pants, red leather shinguards that went up above his knees, leaather cummerbund...

I've been to metal concerts without a pit, mainly traditional metal bands like Kiss, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Scorpions, and hair metal bands like Ratt, Motley Crue, Poison, Tesla, Great White, and Kix.

those bands dont have pits and are not what i consider metal, i would call all of them rock to hard rock.

Gigantour was megadeth and Fearfactory. When fear factory starts playing im gonna throw people, i wont have it any other way.

I can see where one wouldn't consider most of the bands I listed as metal, but Priest and Maiden?

They are metal, but I'd guess BigRedRage came of age in the 90's. So, they aren't metal to him. Priest released an album a couple of years ago that, I think, has some pretty heavy songs, like this one:

Maiden is supposed to release an album soon, and Priest is releasing one early next year. It will be interesting to see if the old guys can still bring it.

Are you going to Gigantour? Megadeth/Lamb Of God/Opeth/Overkill/Arch Enemy.... Whoa!!!!

Just woke up, day after the show. Voice is gone, neck is sore and I can't hear anything.

Hell of a show by Lamb Of God and Arch Enemy. Opeth was awful. Megadeth is well... Megadeth. Great state by them.

How did Opeth not pull it off? I missed the show, but I would expect a band like Opeth to be able to do their thing anywhere. I mean, they are truly phenomenal musicians, so how did that go bad?

Megadeth ALWAYS brings the house down. One of the greatest, tightest groups ever, no matter what lineup they put out there....

Opeth fans enjoyed it but a lot of people there (Mainly people like me who were there for LOG). Opeth they kept talking and when they stopped playing people would yell at them. So eventually halfway through their performance the lead guy said something like this:

"I know you guys are here for Lamb of God. But for now you have us Swed pu***ies to entertain you"

Arch Enemy got a pit going and no one even moshed for Opeth. Lineup should have been Opeth, Overkill, Arch Enemy, Megadeth, Lamb of God IMO.

Lamb of God though was just nuts. They're the only band I went crazy for. Arch Enemy was a hell of a performance and your just in shock listening to such a deep voice come out of that girls mouth. She looks GREAT too..
