Buddhists believe speaking ill of the dead will return the worst karma. Christians believe that only those without sin can cast the first stone.

I guess I just believe that we never got the whole story, but we may yet to have a little insight now that he's passed. I'll reserve judgement

I wonder who'll get custody of the monkey.

Ironic that there are lots of jokes in this thread on a board notorious for banning anyone who doesn't fall down with the token "godspeed" "you are in our thoughts and prayers" and all the usual BS for every ******** celebrity who has ever died as if they were all of your best friends and family. Let the hypocrite ASFN good ole boys come out in full force with their comedy hour. I guess MJ didn't impact the world the same way the drug addict Heath Ledger did or else there would have been multiple bannings and the thread locked by now.

Totally agree. I grew up on Michael Jackson's music and it is some of the best music ever. Funny how people condemm someone based on inuendos. Nothing was ever proved but I guess in some cases innocent before proven guilty only applies to cetain people.

I agree there should be no bashing or joking in a thread like this, but bring up Heath Ledger being a drug addict. Rumors now are that MJ died of a demoral overdose.

Listening to the Jackson 5. Its easy to forget how unbelievably talented he was. The real MJ died long ago. Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito must go on!

My best friend's father works for the FBI that was consulted about the allegations. We talked to him alot about the cases and there was not one shred of evidence....not one thing to indicate he ever did anything bad to those kids per their investigation. So, you can debate all you want what you think happened but I feel confident with the info I was told to say...it was ********. Those cases were about extortion. Also, remember that MJ did not settle in the first case. The insurance company settled in the first case against the recommendation of MJ and his attorneys who wanted to fight it.

I thought the guy was a weirdo, had extremely bad judgment and because of his lifestyle and mannerisms was an easy target for such allegations. The insurance company wanted the little bastard from the first case to go away versus dragging it out in court the first time. MJ got his chance the second time and fought but cost him dearly financially.

On one hand I don't feel sorry for him because he put himself in those situations because of his bizarre outlook on things. On the other hand, in some ways I do feel sorry for him because his father's actions helped create what he ultimately became.

I will get off my soap box and won't comment anymore on this topic because I don't think it's the appropriate focus.

So, thank you MJ for the music, the videos and the entertainment. You were an ICON.

R.I.P MJ.

Forget the monkey, what will happen to the three kids he had sole custody of? Do they go to their "donor mothers"?

Debbie Rowe is poised to take full custody of the two children she bore for Michael Jackson.

It has been widely reported Debbie Rowe gave up her parental rights to Paris and Michael Jr. That is not true.

During the custody fight that Rowe had with Jackson in 2005, she attempted to give up her parental rights, saying Michael was the greatest father ever. Retired Judge Stephen Lachs, who presided over the hearing, initially ruled her rights were terminated ... but then Lachs reversed his decision.

Here's what happened. We spoke with Lance Spiegel, the lawyer who repped Jackson at the time. Spiegel says under the law, the Department of Children and Family Services must conduct a parental fitness investigation before parental rights are terminated and that didn't happen with Rowe.

So Rowe has never given up any of her parental rights. As a result, under California law, Rowe is now presumed to be the person who will get custody. The only way Rowe can be denied custody is if a court determines it would be "detrimental to the children."

As for whether Rowe will ask for custody .... our sources say you can bet on it. We're told if Rowe gets custody she will get "a huge amount of child support from Jackson's estate."

This is what I found. It is on TMZ, so many will not believe it.

That is what everyone saying yesterday when TMZ broke the news a half hour before everyone else did...

I know, I was just giving him a hard time. Humor doesn't translate to written words very easily.

Like it or not the phone numbers to TMZ and the Enquirer are taped up on the wall next to the phones in just about every place a celebrity in LA would go. (Though the UCLA Medical Center recently got into real problems with their employees releasing private medical info.)

It's a cash business. Right now the tabloids have sent in reporters with wads of cash in their wallets to talk to everyone who could possible be connected with this story. I had no trouble believing TMZ when they broke the story. In that town it's the first call you make.

RIP Michael..

You were the biggest giver to charities for children this world ever seen..

Your heart was something the average man cant phathom (me included), so they cant understand and turn on it.. You were a person that didnt understand the world the way we saw it cuz you didnt live it the way we saw it.. You had the money, the way we didnt, so you gave back.. In a major way.. And its why you are being honored and will go down as a legend..

I personally dont believe Michael did them things to them kids.. I believe Michael is in heaven.. Some people wanna believe that no man can be that way without being off his rocker.. Mike was off his rocker, he just mutilated his face instead of others lives..

Maybe one day people can put themselves in a place where their personal fears dont make them have snap judgements..
