We are at the halfway point and the season couldn't have gone much better than it has. Who do you think are the halfway point offensive and defensive MVP's?

On offense, it's hard to not go with Ellington but I think Veldheer has to be in the conversation. I'll admit I wasn't big fan of his signing but he has played at a Pro Bowl level the entire year. He may have been the #1 FA signing in the entire league.

On defense, there can be cases made for Foote and CC but to me the clear MVP has been Cromartie. He has shut down about every WR he has faced, sans Thomas, and has made some key INT's. To me, him and Palmer are 1 and 1A in guys that the Cards need to re-sign this off season. I would even consider the franchise tag on him. I know there are cap ramifications to be dealt with but signing him is a must. FO's can always make the numbers work, cap-wise.

ST's is the Cat-man. Still perfect on the year and getting good depth on his kickoffs.

Cro is the perfect 1 year deal guy. He's made some nice picks but there's no shame in letting him go when you have the highest paid corner in NFL history. Palmer and Williams need to be re-signed.

I have flipped on the re-signing Cro bus. I would rather pay a 30 year old player for one year of production rather than invest in a 30 year old. Offer him a slight raise and waive when someone else pays him bigger money. Just like Dansby last year.

Sure hope we can find a way to bring him back without breaking the bank

CC & CP don't get my vote because both missed 2 games and we won games without them. Don't get me wrong, losing either one long term would be tragic but for the midway MVP it knocks them out.

Juke followed closely by Veldheer on offense.

Cro followed closely by Foote on defense.

Rookie of the year would be Smokey followed closely by Catmando.

ST's definitely Catmando but Bethel might garner a vote or two.

Foote on defense.
Ellington on offense.
Ellington for the overall MVP.

Agreed on Ellington/Veldheer. I think I might give the nod to Jared actually though, since the OL is what has kept Carson and Drew upright, plus kept Ellington able to find solid holes.

Defensively, I actually think our MVP might be Dan Williams. He's the one piece of consistency in that front 7.

Too many options. I would have to say coaching staff. And GM

Don't forget Carson Palmer. Sure he missed a few games, but in the games he played, he's been much better than what I expected. Where did the INT's go? And he's had a LOT of drops by his receivers.
