Midfielder Lina Magull has announced the end of her career in the German national women's team.

Inter Milan's Magull, 30, win 77 caps between 2015 and 2014. She won the under-20 World Cup, was a Euro 2022 runner-up and an alternate when Germany won Olympic gold 2016 in Rio.

"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my journey with the national team. It's incredibly difficult for me to say these words - it's goodbye to a chapter that has shaped my life in so many ways," Magull said in a statement by the national federation DFB on Wednesday.

"Now the moment has come for me to let go with pride, deepest gratitude and a heart full of wonderful memories."

Magull, 30, said she would now focus on her club career at Inter.
