Ishbia needs to stop running the team like he's playing NBA 2K25.

Who knows who is really pulling the strings. A lot of these moves are seem like IT moves. Then he has money and thinks that can be used to just make an instant winner. A lot of short sightedness by him or his advisor(s) (coughITcough).

But there are some glaring questions, like why did he sit Dunn? Why did the rotations vary so much from month to month? It seemed like sabotage at times.

There are huge flaws on the roster but some of these questions are left to be unanswered.
The Dunn stuff was easily the most mind-boggling decision of the year.

if ish is giving bud all the blame there's a chance book stays

Can you imagine the outcry if he was moved? Going from a finals team to gutting everything and the franchise player in a 2.5 years? The suns are stupid but not this stupid. Does he make a lot of sense to move for assets, yes.

If you read between the lines of what Booker's been saying all year, I think Bud's been really poor on the X's and O's. Book is a big details guy, which is why he meshed so well with CP3, while Bud's more of a vibes, 'play random' guy.

Book is not a franchise player and Finals were 4 years ago.

If they don’t realize that they’re in the same situation they were in 1987 and that Book is basically this era’s Larry Nance and act accordingly, they’re beyond stupid… which is saying something because they’ve already ready proven themselves pretty stupid.

bud turned into a dictator after milwaukee's championship - it's why he was run out of milwaukee - egotistical a-hole as far as benchings go - thankfully he couldn't bench book lol im wondering if bud benched others to punish book because it sounds like there was a battle over who's team it was - and the team didn't side with bud

Don't frighten me.

Now, Eddie Johnson has been trying to coach the Suns all season as an announcer and doing a good job.
Seriously though, if Jones is brought back in any way, shape, or form, I'm out on Ishbia.

Even with all of the foolishness up to now, I would be willing to give Ishbia a mulligan for being an "over enthusiastic" owner of a new toy. But keeping that idiot as GM or anything similar would indicate that he is beyond hope as an owner (not that he still might prove so anyway).

I think those days have already past. Willie Green is a sentimental choice and he coached the Suns to play some good defense.

I meant gutting everything in 2.5 years, bridges, Cam johnson, payne, Ayton, cp3, JO were still on the team 2.5 years ago in in season 22-23. My sentence structure was poor but pointing out the finals year thing is anal. We all know the finals year 21.

According to his pay and how the suns value him, he is the franchise player whether we like it or not. I think the majority are on board with him being a #2 player getting #1 treatment.

We might as well consider this 24-25 season a rebuilding season.

We won't be getting an elite big name HC. 2 coached fired after 1 year isn't going to attract top talent. We'll likely need to hire a first time, up and coming talent. Gambo brought up Jared Dudley on the radio this AM.

What I still don't understand... Bud's intro presser was so good, he said this was his dream job growing up in AZ.. now reports are that he doesn't care whatsoever about the team and was basically just punching a time clock. Doesn't add up to me.

Being the face of the franchise is not the same thing as being a franchise player IMO. I think building around Book as your #1 is a huge mistake and will net us nothing. Not to mention waste the rest of his career. Make a move for another #1 (somehow), I can see jumping back on that bandwagon.

He's been an assistant with the Mavs since 2021, IDK much about his coaching career outside of that. Gambo said he's on a patch to head coaching.

Lots of Suns fans were asking for JJ Reddick for the last few years. For anyone that used to religiously watch his podcast, he has such a good basketball mind - and he spoke so highly of Booker and the Suns. With hindsight that woulda been a dream hire.
