Need a new GM to pick a new coach.

I'd be cool with Dudley as a head coach. He seemed to be preparing for a HC position once he became a 12th man. He's had a few years now as an assistant to learn the ropes.

Is it accurate that Booker has only had one coach out of 8 that has lasted more than 1 season? Seems odd if true.

Jared Dudley has been preparing to be a head coach his own career. Half serious, half joking, but this seemed to be his destiny.

I get it. He admitted on Twitter when he returned to the Suns that his plan was to make it to the bench as a coach post playing career. I had an exchange with him about him before Twitter became more toxic. It was interesting. The path went smoother than he predicted, he thought he'd be in TV first like Dan Majerle until he got his shot as an assistant somewhere. I think the bubble helped expediate his coaching career as he was basically a player coach for the Lakers in a unique circumstance. He wrote a small book about the bubble, its an ebook, that gives some cool insight to that time. It's only like 75 pages. Definitely recommend it.

I had heard the same chatter, that Chauncey Billups was high on the Suns list for head coaches if Bud was replaced.

I don't want a new coach, to me it is far more important to get a new GM and overturn the roster.

If we only get a new coach and flip some bench and rotation players I will be very upset with Matty boy.

I can see the types of players James Jones will bring in. All 6-5" 200 lbs slow chuckers. Take a hike, James!
Yeah, this is the worst part. We are faced with starting a long term major rebuild after this disaster of a season, and James Jones might be the guy making the deals? Barf! I think he's made one (or generously, two) good trades his entire tenure as GM.

We can only speculate at how much that will compound the mess the team has become going forward. The Suns may not be relevant again until the 2040s.

Its just amazing how many bad coaches are out there. Even the ones with championship rings are bad. Since leaving the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant has played for four coaches who have been fired: Steve Nash, Monty Williams, Frank Vogel, and Mike Budenholzer. Additionally Kenny Atkinson who was Durant's coach in Brooklyn, was also fired after Durant and Kyrie Irving joined the team.

Hopefully we will consider an up and comer like Royal Ivey. Currently an assistant with Houston. He’s a former NBA player with a decent amount of NBA asst experience as well as leading the South Sudan national team.

Ok, I got tired of hitting the “like” button for agreeing with every one who wants to get rid of JJ and Ishbia out of the process. This post is one big “LIKE” for all of those posts. :stick::stick::suns:

It's good exercise for you. :)

I really think Willie Green is going to be the next coach.

The guys on the radio think he is a viable candidate too.

Good lord… if true, the out and out laziness of this front office will be laid bare for all to see.

GO FIND THE NEXT KENNY ATKINSON/STEVE KERR/JJ REDDICK/MARK DAIGNULT… not another ******* retread.
