If Arizona Basketball returns to it's elite status it will mostly be because of Dunlap as he's handling the day-to-day opertations of the program while Lute does whatever Lute does. At that point if we get there he'll have a good shot at becoming Lute's successor. However talking successor at this point is overkill considering Arizona has played zero games and landed zero 2009/2010 players under Dunlap so there's absolutely nothing to judge him on other than D-II hoops. And honestly if Arizona makes a head coaching hire based solely on what somebody did in Division II then I'm going to turn in my alumni card.
Let's see what Dunlap can do this summer before we anoint or criticize him, then judge him again in April 2009.
