- Kruzek is impressed with Navarre
- Navarre has great size
- Navarre was a steal in the 7th round
- he picked up things in mini camp real fast
- Navarre followed Kruzek the whole mini camp and learned (didnt get too many reps though)

Man - I get the feeling that Preston is going to be cut.

Tobin indeed seemed a little less than sharp to me.

I think he may have been a decent coordinator, but putting everything together as a coach was not his strong suit.

He's the only coach in 50 years to deliver the Cards a playoff victory. I think that alone should earn the man some respect.

I agree that the team was in terrible shape when he left, but the organization was a total mess when he came in to replace Buddy. Somewhere in the middle, he did something right.

Go Cards!!!

You guys are killing me  However, it got me thinking that from what I can recall, TV and movies tend to portray coaches as not being too smart.

The exception being coaches such as Knute Rockney, Vince Lombardy, and the coach in the movie "Remember the Titans."

good point.

but I still think we won despite him, not because of him.

Mac never sounded intelligent to me - especially when raving about Emmitt Smith - or how players are missing damn good coaching - or how important it was that we went 4-0 in the pre-season - guy sounded like a nice guy with a lot of heart - but I never really thought of him as a tactician or someone who could outwit anyone else.

There's a novel idea....from what MJ says some of our previous QBs could never figure this part of it out.
Your kidding right. I think Jake reviewed the pass behind his back every day. :)

I agree. But did he sound "stupid"? I think not!

Not to be an ass. But name me an interview over the years where the coaches sounded stupid?
Shane... Although I am very high on the guy. Jerry Sullivan sounds like an idiot over the radio.

My whole point was. When I compair him to passed coaches interviews they sound alot more profesional, and knowledgable about their jobs...

In short, they sould like they have a plan and are sticking to it.
