IMO, you really do need an above average to great QB to win that one game in the postseason that's going down to the wire.
Cowher teams did a lot with quarterbacks who were average, at best.
Brister, O'Donnell, Tomczak, Stewart, Maddox. Think about taking those QBs into the playoffs. Yikes!
Agree...for the life of me though I'll never understand why Brister suddenly became good when he went to the Broncos and backed up Elway. I think he was just better without the pressure of being a full time starting QB or maybe felt he had something to prove to the Steelers and Cowher for bumping him down for O'Donnell.
All good QB's though until they got to the big games. Atleast we didn't get another Mark Malone though! What a mistake that was by Knoll taking Gabriel Rivera over Marino, worst decision he ever made in the 80's.
