Mike Tomlin is BY FAR the most overrated coach in the league

IMO, you really do need an above average to great QB to win that one game in the postseason that's going down to the wire.

Cowher teams did a lot with quarterbacks who were average, at best.

Brister, O'Donnell, Tomczak, Stewart, Maddox. Think about taking those QBs into the playoffs. Yikes!

Agree...for the life of me though I'll never understand why Brister suddenly became good when he went to the Broncos and backed up Elway. I think he was just better without the pressure of being a full time starting QB or maybe felt he had something to prove to the Steelers and Cowher for bumping him down for O'Donnell.

All good QB's though until they got to the big games. Atleast we didn't get another Mark Malone though! What a mistake that was by Knoll taking Gabriel Rivera over Marino, worst decision he ever made in the 80's.

Coordinators worry about 3/4ths of the Xs and Os. The Head Coach makes the final decision on the calls, but can be skilled enough to improvise when needed. Their main goal is to know what systems to run on offense and defense and what names to start to make that fly, as well as ways to motivate the team.

In all cases, Tomlin is successful and is far from overrated.

If you want to find out about Tomlin read the NY Times article. I'd just post the link but it won't let me.

What the hell does that post have to do with anything?

He isnt NEARLY as good a coach as the media makes him out to be.

What's harder?

Getting the Cardinals or the Steelers to the SuperBowl?

I'm happy we have who we have and you can have whoever you want, thanks for letting our coach go, that's awesome, in fact it's the best thing anyone's ever done for us, again thanks.
