New Line has bought comedy spec Mild Things, from the scripting team of Michael Colton and John Aboud, and has set up the project with Paul Young and Peter Principato at their Principato-Young.
Variety says the story centers on a tame married couple considering having a baby. Before they change their lives forever, they decide to have a "baby bender" and spend a few months partying like rock stars.
Colton and Aboud wrote The Comebacks, which Tapestry is producing for Fox Atomic, and Over My Dead Body and Nick Skyler, Guidance Counselor for Montecito Pictures.
