Better stay optimistic or there isn't any reason to watch and support this franchise

No way. He’s the best. Him and KK are going to transform the nfl.

Sad thing is, you had the #1 overall pick playing against an undrafted rookie and the undrafted rookie played better.
The UDFA has a superior o-line, and defense to support him. What does K1 have? Not a pot to piss in to back him up for the most part.

I thought about a Marriota comparison before and then realized Kyler can consistently throw the ball with accuracy.

That doesn’t overcome the fact that one was the #1 overall pick from Oklahoma and the other was a UDFA from Samford. The talent gap that should come with that difference, regardless of opponent, should’ve been apparent today, and it wasn’t.

can Murray go up against the Cardinal Defense and that Undrafted Rookie go up against the Steelers defense?

Oh logic and common sense! No place for that on this board.

Very excited for Murray to string us along for the next 5 years until he’s benched for, say, Gardner Minshew.

The scary thing is Mariota took a big leap his second year statistically, won a playoff game yet still flamed out.

Speaking of Tennessee didn’t you suggest we trade a pick for Tannehill once upon a time? I bet some teams wishing they did that...

One was THE #1 OVERALL pick and the other was going to play flag football.
You’re trying to use that excuse?

yep. Common sense prevails.

People will laugh at this, but if Keim, Kingsbury, and Kyler are all kept, and they don't improve, we may be in the position to make this move with a GM and HC who will have no commitment to a non-prototypical QB.

Murray outplayed him? Hahaha

It's simple: Duck did what was asked of him...Murray did not.

Thanks to Keim, we have precedent to walk away from either a head coach or a first round QB after one season, so trading out of both after two seasons is the next logical step in Cards world.

I think it'll be totally warranted by that point.

They really won’t have a choice. If we get another 3 win season, everyone is gone. Personally I’d kick Murray to the curb for Lawrence in a heart beat. Not a knock on Kyler, I just think Lawrence will be that special. Like a Manning or Luck type

my biggest gripe with Kyler so far this season is that for a guy people were touting as a transcendent talent I just haven't seen him... well... transcend the talent around him at the end of games. Haven't seen him really be that kind of magician the great ones all have inside of them when the chips are down. I mean... you could argue he flashed it in the Detroit game and the Cincy game at the end... but those are two of the worst teams in the league... and both were at the beginning of the year.

And all the other times haven't just been disappointing... they've looked disastrous.

Against the Ravens, i believe we had the ball twice in the fourth quarter down 23-17 and the offense which had played ok all game was laughably bad.

Against the Bucs, late in the game we have a chance to step on their throat... he throws a pick. We then get the ball back with about 1:30 to play, down just a FG and the two minute drill is beyond pathetic.

Against the Niners in San Fran, the D gets us a HUGE turnover with 4 minutes left and all we have to do is get a couple first downs. On 3rd down, Kyler runs right into a sack. Makes nothing happen. The Niners score, we get the ball back with about 30 seconds left and again, we don't even gain a single yard.

And today, my lord... again, one of the worst two minute offenses ever. First, he steps up into the pocket, someone sneezes on him and he falls down. 2nd down, he gets out of the pocket... and drops the ball on the ground. 3rd and 4th down, he gets out of the pocket... and can't make any play whatsoever.

Am I asking that he wins ALL of those games? Not even remotely. But we couldn't even get 10 yards in potential game-winning drives in ANY of them.

That concerns me... not that he won't be a good QB. I definitely see how he could become that with the right O-line, more weapons and better coaching. It's that intangible "magic" at magic time that has been sorely lacking that I'm talking about... that thing that can't be coached. That I do wonder if he has.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking it today. Clean house and hope the new GM/coach can do something with KM.

And, you know, how many 4th-quarter comebacks has this 1st-round QB managed with a supposedly better staff?
