STARKVILLE — Mississippi State baseball's Saturday game versus Texas has been postponed due to forecasted severe weather conditions in Starkville, according to a program announcement.

The Bulldogs (13-5) and No. 9 Longhorns (15-1) will now play a doubleheader with seven-inning games Sunday at Dudy Noble Field. Game 1 begins at 1 p.m. on SEC Network with the second game 40 minutes after streaming on SEC Network+.

Texas won Friday's game 8-7. It's the first SEC series of the season.

Mississippi State said Saturday's tickets will be accepted for either game Sunday, though fans with Sunday tickets will have priority for assigned seats. Saturday parking passes will not be accepted.

Ben Davis (1-1, 2.16 ERA) is scheduled to pitch Game 1 and Karson Ligon will pitch in Game 2 (2-1, 3.21 ERA).

Texas has won 15 consecutive games under first-year coach Jim Schlossnagle.
