on scrimmage:
mainly looking at the field
playing in there
finding the play clock in the stadium

on Leinart:
they are making progress
2 hurdles
1. garunted money (it seems it does not exceed 12 mil)
Leinarts camp sent over a proposal for a 6 year deal, so there is one compromise)
hopefully hell be here in a couple days

today:
(couldnt hear this part) - someone please fill in
just light walkthrough in afternoon

King out 6-8 weeks - hand surgery
Clancy strained his groin - didnt sound too serious
Ross out 3-5 weeks - had it trimmed
he will probably start playing week 2

start preparing on Wed for PIT

more news on Leinart in 48 hrs

Uhhh you don't I take it? Why don't you?

Because Matty Hollywood is Matty Hollywood for a reason... He digs the Paris Hilton and Nick Lechey crowds... Unless he changes his ways and with whom he hangs, I believe we will see more pix like the one of Matty leaving Paris's home early in the morning carryng his clothes...
Doesn't mean he won't perform on the field (although I have my doubts there as well), but as far for the "drama" bit - get used to it...

If he performs on the field and as long as he doesn't hurt anyone off of it what difference does it make though? If he can turn into the leader that we need what he does off of the field is immaterial isn't it? As long as he doesn't hurt anyone and doesn't break the law.

I can't stand this opinion, sorry. It doesn't matter one thing that he does with friends or who he's banging this week. It matters what he does on the field.

I don't think pics of Matt leaving Paris' house is a big deal...good for that guy. That isn't drama either. The only drama that should concern fans is if he isn't doing his job, is hurt, or isn't in camp.

When Matt signs, I will welcome with open arms Snoop, Will Ferrel, Nick Lachey, Paris, and whomever else will cause more reporters to get their cameras out for the hotness that is the Cardinals and their star QB stud.

He hasn't thrown one NFL pass yet, and the dude gets more hype than any other player...
I also agree that it matters not what he does off the field, but what he does on it... But I really can't recall too many star QB's/leaders who bang with the type of crowd Matty Hollywood chooses to hang with.
I have my reservations about the "gift from heaven"... I hope I'm wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Cutler go on to have a better career than Matty Hollywood... guess we'll see... maybe...

Wouldyou prefer to see him with a bible in his hand leaving church?

"Broadway Joe Namath"
If memory serves me correctly he had a pretty good career and was about as high profile as they came.

Yeah but Cutler hasn't thrown a pass yet either. ML is a former Heisman Trophy winner and led his team to the NCAA championship for three years in a row. What did Cutler do? Isn't the so called "hype" deserved in Matt's case?

That can also translate into Cardinal hype. Not that I care but there can be a positive for this type of player as well. Endorsements, commercials, celebs hanging in Phoenix with ML all linking to Cardinals. There will be bad but there will be the good moments too.

As if that's the only other option??

Hey, Matty just might mature into a solid citizen and solid on-the-field leader. But then again, maybe he won't. Before they became stars, I honestly can't recall hearing about Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, or even Big Ben banging it the way Matty has chosen to do...
Sign your dam deal. Get your ass in camp and do the things great leaders do - then prove yourself on the field. If you do all that and choose to bang it with the "in" crowd - cool. Otherwise, you're nothing more than an hip Ryan Leaf at this point...

I don't care if he's seen with a script in his hand leaving Seymour Butts' house as long as I see him with a trophy in his hand leaving the Superbowl.

Ryan Leaf didn't lead his team to the NCAA championship three years in a row either. Nor did Peyton, Brett, Tom, or Ben. Maybe this "hype" you keep refering to is well deserved?

OK, why is he not a solid citizen now?

What exactly is a solid citizen in your opinion?

that's just it, none of them, really except Peyton were stars in college - whereas Matt has been THE superstar in college football for the last two years, in the entertainment capital of the world. Of course he's gonna get more run, but it NEVER hurt his game on the field. Even in the loss to Texas, it was USC's pathetic D that failed them, not Matt's sterling performance.

The guy's GOING to be a stud - he's a tireless worker, a student of the game and more than anything a GAMER. The beating he took from ASU last year didn't faze him as he led them back from a 21 point deficit and even when he struggled against ND, getting whacked around, he still gutted up for the biggest play of his life on 4th and 12, nailing Jarrett with the PERFECT audible/pass.

Did I miss something? Did Matty lead his team to 3 consecutive championships?? Guess that vision of him aimlessly running around with 2 minutes left in last years BCS Championship was only my imagination...

And one day he will be a solid citizen too.
